eSpiceLogo Design Contest

Hi there. Here's my abstract approach.
All feedback is welcome. Thanks.

Hi 84,

we've noticed several great logos on your portfolio, so we would appreciate a further proposal from you.

What we would like is:
- a nice logo on the left, that is evocative (not figurative) of the fresh and spicy feel
- a clean, modern and simple font for eSpice

For instance among several others we like of your works the logo for Short South and the idea for AdCatcher.

A couple of variations (#237 & #238).

Hi Ed, thanks.

I see you've a passion for tiles, and that's nice.

1) We like #225. It seems that there, if I'm not wrong, tiles communicate by talking to each other and are shaped like comics balloons. Even if it makes sense please make them just geometric shapes, I think the balloons have already been overly used for communication metaphors.

Still on #225 please make the font just a little bit thicker, dark gray with a coloured dot on i.

2) Please make a variation with tiles in brighter colors

3) And last, because of the variety and level of your other works I'd be very keen to see a fully different and original proposal from you !

Fair enough for your thing, your mosaic #256 ranks first so far :)
Abstract and good looking, fresh, with variety and with a "spicy feeling".

But we're not yet there with the colors. Please make them more intense. See the great overall impact of 2nd ranked.

Font shape and thickness is perfect. Please try a dark gray with a gradient - or glossy effect ? - for the text.

Also please add a "communication" text somewhere below the eSpice.

Hi Ed,
sorry for the delay, we had a national holiday. So #291 is our favourite, without the gradient on eSpice. We also think the choice of colors for tiles is great.

Just two little variations please, to see if it improves:
- one with the little "communication" in a lighter gray
- another one with the whole "eSpice" in a lighter gray, and "communication" further lighter
