Our Ideas & Additional Information
Logo specifications:

I intend to use the logo for four main purposes: (1) website (2) business cards (3) letterheads (4) watermark.

- earthy, natural feel to it
- not too ornate
- logo should be clearly legible, also at reduced sizes
- two lines (Stylized 'Earthling' with 'Photography' written below in more plain text - possibly capital letters - see samples below) - separated by horizontal line between two words
- need colored version as well as white text version
- white text version will be used as watermark on photographs and needs to be strong enough at a reduced opacity

Attached below are a few samples which share certain features I like:

Re Sample 1 "Sylvia Photography"
- like: the Sylvia and Photography separation with line
- like: the font of Photography
- don't like: "Sylvia" a little too big

Re Sample 2 "Illuminate Photography"
- like the graphic on the first letter
- would like to consider ideas for use of graphics
- like the use of two different font styles

Sample 3 "Brooke Holland Photography"
- like the use of different Colors
- like the graphic but might be a little to big for a watermark

Sample 4 "Analiese Jane Photography"
* like the graphic on the first letter

Re Sample 5 "My Serenity Spa"
* nice colors;
* but too swirly on letter 'm' 'y' and 's'

Please remember designers - just because the CH points out he likes certain elements of a designers concept DOES NOT mean you now are allowed to use those. If it is a unique idea, and you copy it, you can potentially be subject to a review and removal of your designs from the contest, as well as, accumulate Violation Points that could lead to your dismissal from the community as a whole.

Hello!

Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ LEAVE PRIVATE FEEDBACK BY CLICKING ON A DESIGN. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After the Open Phase ends, you can then rank Top 5 Designers in order for them to upload their revised/new logo designs.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions
