- change color of font to the color used for the leaves - take out the leaves - the 'E' font is not working for me; anyway a different style font can be used just for the - little softer
I want to thank each and everyone of you, including all designers not ranked in the top five, for your many wonderful designs and contributions. I feel very fortunate to be able to work with some many talented artists!
Moving forward, I would like to share some additional guidelines:
- generally happy with fonts but open to new ones similar to the top ranking logos unless I specifically ask you to work with a certain font - very interested in variations of a graphic with following features:
- subtle; not too big or distracting from 'Earthling'; color matching "Photography"; soft but not too feminine (keep in mind: want to be able to use it for male/corporate head shots down the road); friendly/warm but not too cute; has to look good on watermark
- here is another tricky one: would love to see some sort of graphic options that resemble more a person (ie. Earthling/human); note: the character should NOT be too cute (i.e. smiley face) but rather something abstract...yet warm and friendly looking
I appreciate the last one may be a tough one to work with and welcome your own ideas and variations such as the ones received to date!
I really like your work so far. You have a great clean and elegant style.
I am wondering if you have plans to submit any additional logos. I have posted a Brief Update (see copy above)
No worries if you don't have time. Please let me know so I can reach out to another designer.
As for the font, I like the font in 146 and 113 but would love to see some variations on the graphic in keeping with guidelines set out above. Also open to other font ideas similar to those in the top 5.
To get things more focused, following are the points I'd like to have specifically worked on:
1. graphic image should be placed in the area of "g' to balance out the E 2. 'photography' font and graphic color should match #107 3. keep graphic simple (eg. not multiple elements) and same color as "photography' 4. preferred graphic ideas are some kind of butterfly treatment, leaf or an "earthling character". I realize the character idea is tricky but I would love to see any ideas you have on something a bit abstract. The 3rd character in the second row of this image is an example: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/32425181/earthling1.jpg
#168 : leaves in butterfly shape #171 : abstract character figure.
I implement those images into the new font, in case if you want to see how it looks like in another font like #146. just let me know. I just don't want to make you confused with too much of my entries :)
like the the graphic; could we try the following variations:
GRAPHIC 1. for graphic try the two different colors used in entry 146 2. make graphic a bit smaller 3. see if it works place between or slightly above "n" and "g"
FONT 1. I really like the style/ balance of the font in 146 2. could we try similar fonts in brownish shade
- Could you please change the color of 'Earthling' font to brown - keep color of butterfly/leaves and photography the SAME - again, I like the font of 'earthling' but would like to see some similar variations of the font like in # 170 and #107
Thank you so much for the 'character' submissions. I appreciate a lot of work went into them and they are quite good but something isn't working for me with the characters and I would like to go back to the nature theme (unless you have come up with something in the meantime and wish to share)
I would like to keep working with the butterfly/leaves idea still hoping for color change on #173 - Earthling to brown; keep rest same
If you have the time, open to more font types SIMILAR to #173 and nature graphics
thank you so much for all the others, so creative! but would prefer to stick with #177
is there anyway to change the font just a bit. I do like: 1) the non-italics balanced style 2) E and g reaching down 3) color. just make it a bit more like simple looking
I am getting close to the final decision...grateful for everyone's patience!
I like a number of designs from different designers but #177 is looking really good with Website and FB page.
Graphic is good for now;
further to previous comments re Earthling font, would love to see following: - soften the color of "Earthling" a bit; touch lighter brown - make the "E" especially top part of E a little smaller
Also would appreciate a white on black version (like #186) so I can try it out as watermark like
re #212 -would like brown little darker - a shade of brown between #212 and #177 - still don't like shape of E - can you make it look a little smoother? It doesn't seem much different from previous sample - would still like to try a more smoother font; similar #212 and #177 but less of a hand writing style - see entries # 201 and # 192
I understand but I didn't go for your design because of the butterfly, I liked it because of two leaves on a stem / tree branch idea so I don't agree with his complaint
I have to say I like #177 better; I really like the branch idea;
# 214 looks more like a butterfly which I am moving away from
re #217 I prefer the #177 E but have to think about it
another note re leaves: with my original brief I included an image "Serenity spa" which had a branch and a leaf attached to it - have a look at the image. I would think the idea was then up for grabs to anyone.
in the meantime, is another idea
1. an abstract form of lotus flower somewhere between the L and the G
2. or a little zen type figure see attached: Example 1: i like the figure in the top left corner; could be placed in the upper part of E #177 font version or between L and G in Earthling; would like it soft; maybe just outline and NOT too big http://dl.dropbox.com/u/32425181/zen-stick-figure.jpg.zip
#261 Looks great but could you try the following please: - make even lighter - more stubtle (see photoshop link) with little gradient maybe - touch lighter on bottom- http://dl.dropbox.com/u/32425181/EP_test.jpg - you can try different levels of color - might have to reduce opacity a bit on branch - not sure - move Photography a little lower (VERY little)
Watermark - could you please provide me with white on black versions for both #259 and #261 (for watermark purposes) with reduced opacity on leaves (so that they are not too distracting)
I prefer the #262 version for color tone of leaves
- can you please move the "Photography" down just a little and provide two versions: 1) one with Photography moved down and a bit darker green 2) one with Photography moved down and same color tone as #262
