DMMGLogo Design Contest

#1 and #2 are cool versions of the dmmg lettering, but they lack color and are wouldn't fit the transparent background requirement.

#3 I like the curvature, but it too lacks color and wouldn't fit the transparent background requirement either.

Hi Bryan-

Maybe you could elaborate on what you mean by "transparent." The logos created here will ultimately be supplied to you in an EPS format, which is inherently transparent (i.e. no white bounding box). Where there is no image or lettering, your background will show through.The logos above all support this type of transparency.

Also, if I can offer a suggestion as you go, you can click in individual entries and make a comment in the box associated with that specific logo. Using this method, you'll find you get better results as the artist in question will receive an email alert, and generally take a more detailed and personalized approach to your logo revisions.

For everyone's benefit, what I mean by "transparent-friendly" is something that would look good if the surrounding background is substituted. What this means is, if you have the DMMG letters as a single color, the lettering should have a surrounding border. An example of this is the Skype logo.

The symbols (if any) that are used should also have a border around each element to ensure they stand out as well and contrast against whatever background that is chosen. I like white and whitespace, so a white area in the symbol would need some border or shadow definition to ensure it contrasts well when the surrounding background changes.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ At contest close you will need to have 3 different designers ranked in the top three positions.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

1st place - 50 points
2nd place - 20 points
3rd place - 10 points
4-6th place - 5 points
7-10 place - 3 points
10th on - 1 point

FYI to everyone participating -

I am moving logos over to "Not Interested" to keep the freshest and most unique logos in the main view while the contest is running.

At the end, I will move over one version of each concept into a ranked position so that everyone gets at least a point for each concept submitted.
