I definitely like the equalizer-like effect that is used on the lettering. I think the letters D and G would be a bit difficult to read if you didn't already know it was "DMMG". I'd also like to see a version that is a bit less blocky and technical. Something Web 2.0 and bubbly would be better received by our users. Lastly, please remove the mirroring effect. Thanks!
#12, #13, #14, and #15 with the bubbles looks good. I definitely like the blue better than the green. I don't necessarily like the placement of the Dance Music Web 2.0 text. The dmmg text also looks pretty simple, which I'm sure is what your goal was. Can you try to make the dmmg text pop more? I like the bubbles, but give the innards some more sizzle.
#11 is good too, but is competing directly against #9 and #10 by another designer. Take a look at his concepts and see if you can come up with something with the equalizer effect that's a little brighter. You're on the right track! Thanks!
I like the modifications in #16. Can you try and add some color to the decibal meter behind the lettering? Traditional colors are green for the bottom ones, yellow as the bar goes higher, then red at the top. Not sure if it will look good, but maybe it's worth a try.
In the next version, any chance you can make the preview a little bigger? It's kind of hard to see the detail.
