Color Preferences
Blue as probably the primary color. Vibrant, not a light blue, and not too dark, but bright. 2004 Nissan 350Z Daytona Blue is a good start.

Deep red, like from the stem and veins of swiss chard perhaps as a highlight color, maybe not, I am not married to that one. Orangey red and blue combos can be fun. Some sharp bright green or even simple gray as a minor color might work. No straight red or yellow, but off reds are ok. I am really open to anything that works with the blue I like. This logo will need to show well on business cards, websites, as well as tight spandex racing kits. So exciting and easy to spot when plastered big on the chest of a runner or biker. Colors that would flow into and with each other in some of the organic type of designs described below would be great.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
google image search "triathlon logo" and there is so much stuff in the first 20 rows. I am not against a geometric shape, a triangle as commonly used for triathlon, as I primarily work with triathletes. The 3 squares in a rwo stuff is cool, but feel free to do anything really. there is an easy theme of 3 for triathlon stuff, but I am not against simple things like my DL and a outline background of a cyclist on a mtn.....or a swimmer with waves....or a runner....all three.... you get the idea.

I like this one:

just simple stuff:

The file I uploaded I find very intriguing. Such a simple expression of all 3 sports of triathlon with straightforward placement of whatever text we choose.

While I like that logo, the one I chose does not necessarily have to show swim-bike-run, but I definitely prefer that organic type of expression over the 3 squares or boxes in a row or stack approach. Think of a small tastefu and exciting palette of colors expressing fluid/complex/precise triathlon sporting movement through very few geometrically simple brushstrokes. brushstrokes.

I am going to upload a 2nd pic with some brushstroke style triathletes I found. Just an idea. Even simpler might be better. And a 3rd pic showing similar.

4th pic is of a kit that I like. My ideal kit has more white and less of the dark blue. Maybe a slightly brighter blue, with the logo we are creating dead center on the chest. So think of something that could be expressive when view at rest, can at least be not an visual disaster when viewed at speed. I would like to get DL Multisports in there, but certainly not the catchphrase or anything further.

I must have glanced over the portion where I picked the acceptable formats. I am actually unsure as to the format I would need, beyond knowing the intended uses of the logo, which will be on race uniforms, business cards, headlining or playing back-up on a website, t shirts, water bottles.
