Ok I like this new one. But about the actual letterform of the DL.... the D really needs to be or include the curve of the D if you are going to completely lose the vertical back line of the D. I think that might actually look good. Instead of the hard angled D, make it a perfect D curve with the hard angluar L. )L but not exactly. כL but same size כ as the L.
Out of everything you have done, #162 is your best yet. I can see your effort and appreciate it. Definitely more clear and less awkward. Not top 5, but maybe worth playing with.
