I have some ideas I have generated myself and spent a few weeks investigating ideas on the net. Happy to invest time and give feedback and clarify our brief. The original brief given to me involved a vine growing on a trellis. Personally I have experimented with LETTERFORM ideas using D A C. The church's actual name is St.Lawrence Anglican Church, Dalkeith. But I feel everyone refers to it via its location, Dalkeith Anglican Church. We are attempting to create an umbrella logo that our Sun 9am(traditional), Sun 5pm(contemporary) and Fri 7pm(youth) Services can sit under together - keeping in mind - we are primarily developing a new logo for INTERNET literate folk!

My current impression is that the symbol of the CROSS and perhaps a BIBLE be kept as subtle as possible. But happy for you to convince me otherwise with any great ideas involving these that you may have :)

HI - I'm getting mixed response from my team. It seems simple and green is highly desirable. Though I prefer more color. Apologies if that takes you in different directions. Growing is all important. Thinking global is a priority also. Best keep the cross as subtle as possible - as some of you have - as this is all too familiar in church logos. We would like to see more concepts embracing the Vine & Trellis theme if at all possible. VINE GROWING being the people work of what we do - all important relationships, studying the Bible together, praying, caring etc... TRELLIS WORK being the necessary work of admin, creating structures, schedules and calendars - all the things that enable us to get on with vine growing priority.

Thank you for your submissions so far! - I will attempt to be more ruthless with ranking submissions to clarify direction.

Thanks to all the designers! We have consulted as a team today. Your efforts and time have been deeply appreciated! We are amazed at your skill and the variety of designs submitted. In the end there is one design that seems to be accepted by all parties of the church which we would like to work with further - so I thought it best not to use up any more other designer's time. Hope that makes sense and I hope you have success in other logo tournaments :)
