Hi! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked in the top 10. We like to earn points.

~~ NOTE: While in JUDGING mode, the designer ranked in 1st can still submit revisions.

We'd like to see some abstract marks and please.

Please don't be carried away by our color suggestions as well. They are more of a guideline than a mandatory requirement.

Few things that are so far largely missing (as oppose to what was written in brief) in submitted logos-

1) We offer experiential marketing solutions. Experience is all about crafting memorabilia. Please try to capture that spirit. We like to create experiences that people will cherish. Our logo should have the same spirit
2) Playful, adventurous look and feel (see stylistic sliders from the brief for clarification)
3) use of abstract marks
4) interesting use of red, yellow, orange

Dear All,

It has been an excellent experience so far. We really appreciate the interest that all of you have put into our logo design.

Today I shared the logos with our top management. Based on their feedback, we have prepared the following update to the existing brief (I am sharing the same feedback in the updated brief section of the tournament). I shall also share feedback to each individual designer on their particular designs and way forwards.

1. The text on the logo will be "Asiatic EXP" (Please avoid, asiatic experiential and other variations)
2. The logo will be on a white background.
3. The word Asiatic will be written in the font shown in the powerpoint attached in the brief. You can also check out the "asiatic" logo at www.asiatic360.com
4. The word "asiatic" should be significantly smaller than the letters "EXP". The letters EXP should stand out and dominate the logo.
5. The logo should not contain more than 3 colors. For instance if the word "asiatic" is written in gray then the letters EXP should not contain more than 2 colors.
6. We are open to your creativity about colors. Feel free to use any color that you feel will communicate action and confidence
7. We would like to avoid usage of any additional shape within EXP. Any shape or symbol used should bring in more focus on the letters EXP (The new rankings will give you an idea about what we like)
8. The logo should communicate action and power. We are a company that provides the companies a way to target the right consumers in the right way. It would be great if our logo could capture that essence. Please feel free to use shapes, elements, motions within the letters EXP to bring in this feel.

Dear Designers,

We are simply blown away with your effort and designs. Thank you again for such a brilliant performance. We had started this exercise with very little idea about what our logo could look like and what colors we should have. Thanks to you guys, we are now very confident that we'll get the logo we are looking for from this tournament.

Following the submissions from last night, there has been some changes in the rankings. Here are a few things which might help to develop the ideas further:

We have decided our preferred colors to be red and golden on the body of the logo. we also like the use of gray to write the word "asiatic". Here is the CMYK code for the shades we like, (Golden: C 3 | M 38 | Y 97 | K 0, and Red: C 0 | M 95 | Y 100 | K 0). However, you are welcome to use gradients and other shades of these two colors as you require. We'd prefer to have our logos limited within the shades of these three colors

We would like to avoid suggested X's with white space, for instance #60, #50, #116

We like logos where X is taking prominence is depicting action and impact through motion or shape.

We like the gradient and slight lighting in #141 and #142, however we prefer to avoid boxed shapes and simple straight lines in X.

Dear Designers,

First let me appreciate you for the brilliant designs that you have brought in so far. We have truly discovered, throughout the development of this concept, what we want our logo to look like. Thank you again for bearing with us while we went through this process.

As we are entering the final 24 hours of the tournament, we are continuously updating our ranks as new and exciting ideas are coming in. I'd request the top ranked designers to give a final thought about any innovation that they may want us to consider. Same goes for any new designer joining the effort.

Already this has been an overwhelming response and we thank you for your effort.

266 logos!

Never in our wildest expectations did we think about such an overwhelming response.

We thank each and every one of you from the bottom of our heart and appreciate your sincere efforts to create the face of our brand.

Please let me tell you about our plan in the judging mode. The logos have already been shared with the top management of our company and based on their feedback we have worked to develop them further throughout the contest period. Next, we shall present them for final selection to our group chairman. Unfortunately, I had inadvertently made the mistake of starting the contest on a Thursday evening, which meant that it also ended on a Thursday evening. in Bangladesh, Friday and Saturday is our weekly holiday. Therefore we won't be able to meet with them before Sunday. We expect to have their observations and recommendations by Monday. As we have worked on revisions on our major preferences already, it is unlikely that we shall need any further to make a decision. Even if we do require any small revision from any of you we shall notify you by Tuesday next. And by Wednesday we hope to declare our winner.

Please don't withdraw your designs till we have shared our result. We had also received a lot of revised versions of various logos that are top ranked at the moment. I shall put them in the ranked section over the next few days so that you can earn points for your efforts.

Dear Designers,

I have to thank you again for your patience. We were unable to meet with our group chairman and board of directors today. They are extremely busy this week and has not been able manage any time yet. We have put in a meeting request at 10PM(Yes, it's not a typo, 10PM) tomorrow. But just to be safe we have asked for this judging time extension. We hope to conclude the selection by Thursday still. Lets see how things progress tomorrow.

Dear Designers,

We have run into a problem.

This logo is for a brand new company of our group and we need the approval of the board of directors along with the chairman of the group to finalize the logo. We are very happy with the entries that we got and confident that one of the top ten will definitely become our logo.

Unfortunately, the scheduled board of director's meeting was canceled. It was scheduled to happen last Tuesday but they could not manage time. We had applied for the extension back then and set up a meeting for today. Sadly that meeting has been postponed as well. Under the circumstances we are trying to book a new time for all the directors.

But at this point we don't know when we can get all of them together. Considering this situation we have applied for a 10 day extension. We sincerely want you stay with us if the request comes through.

I know it is an irregular request but you do understand that this decision for the logo of a new company requires the decision of the board of directors.

After this long deliberation we have finally received a decision from the board. I am uploading the final results as we speak in the winners section.

We are really glad to have come across such amazing designers. You guys were helpful, understanding and creative above anything that we ever expected. Through each and every one of your effort, we have finally found the logo that represents our company.

I am going to announce the winner in a few minutes. Those who want to withdraw their designs, please feel free to do so. I am also going to rank each and every logo that we have received including all the variations. This would let those who haven't won a few well deserved points.
