What We Do
We provide full-spectrum consultation and procedural services for patients suffering from gastrointestinal and liver diseases.
Industry
Medical
Color Preferences
We like black, silver, and red for communicating our focus on science and technology, but prefer the use of greens and blues to convey a feeling of calm and healing.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We tried coming up with our own (attached file) that involves the outline of a stomach with a lighted endoscope in it within a blazing New Mexico Sun, with our name written beside in fancy script. However, we fear that we have tunnel vision and are focusing too much on using elements like the central stomach and scope that are already heavily used in our field. We don't have problems seeing other designs that use them, but perhaps in more abstract ways.

We lean more towards a focus on our name, especially the "Advanced", and not our initials, as we will never be known by our initials to our clients.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ When you provide feedback to designers, you increase the chances of getting the logo you want. More feedback = better results!
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion.
~~ Please note: if you are asking for a design that will require several hours to create, to attract designers willing to invest that amount of time the prize should be at least $400-$500. All "Character" style logos fall into this category.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested." We'd like to know what you don't want so we can give you the design you do want.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ The first phase of the contest is the "Open" phase, and everyone can submit during that time.
~~ After your contest's initial "Open" phase closes, it will enter the "Top 5" phase; only the top 5 ranked designers will be able to submit revisions at that time.
~~ The "Top 5" designers are the first 5 designers in a contest, not the first 5 designs.
~~ When "Top 5" ends, the "Judging" phase begins. The designer of the 1st place design will be the only designer who can submit revisions at that time.

Despite our initial thoughts, the more we see, the more we realize that we prefer color to grayscale, especially the blues-greens, and the less we are convinced that we need to have an obvious stomach included. Unfortunately, unlike brains, skeletons, and hearts - stomachs, liver, and intestines don't lend themselves as well to cool designs. I guess we're starting to lean more towards the artistic and abstract and less towards the literal. But we welcome any attempts to try and make appealing art out of the tools and subject of our trade.

Update - We are really having a hard time committing one way or another to the idea of a stomach image in the logo and that's one big reason our rankings change as we vote among ourselves. There's nothing sexy about a stomach. It's not the most appealing thing to look at, but it does represent our business well and we continue to be happy to see designs that incorporate it, though we may end up going with something more abstract if it conveys the right feel. The other symbol of our trade is an endoscope, which is essentially a black tube about a meter long with a small set of controls at one end and a fiberoptic light emitting from the other end.

We really appreciate all the entries and the attempts to rework already good designs to try and keep up with our changing tastes. If the rankings seem to change unpredictably its because we have several people in our group giving input and voting among ourselves. Narrowing the field down to 5 designers will be tough since we'll end up cutting some who have been at the top of the list just the day before.

Thanks

Now that it has ended and we are in the Judging phase, it will probably take us a day or two or even longer to select a winner as we have several people making the decision, all with different tastes, and the designs were so good. Thanks for all of them. Wish we could pick more than one, but I guess that would defeat the purpose of having a logo.
