Daily SurgeLogo Design Contest

Hey everyone! Please reference the contest brief for all the info you need.

AVATAR: Important! I need an avatar that is either incorporated into OR based off of the logo. Either is fine.

EFFECTS: Some fun use of a voltage "Surging" either through the letters or somehow tastefully incoporated into the design

COLORS: I am interested in seeing black with the pink and/or orange from http://buzzfeed.com/politics

I would really like to see logo examples based on the logos I've attached to the brief as reference examples.

More specifically:

1. BLESK - very simple, tabloid headline style. I like the white font with a solid color background

2. The Daily Star Logo - very tabloid style. I like how the word daily is small and the word STAR does all the talking!

3. Danner - this is off the path from the others. REALLY like this! Would love to see options along this line

4. Daily Ticket - LOVE the retro style font used for the word Daily!!!!

Would you mind letting me #365 with the same black drop shadow as #533?

And #536 with the same gray dropshadow as #489?

Thanks for your patience with all the back and forth. I just want to make the right decision.

#569 - can you remove the dots and make it looks like #572?
