IMiC is a research consortium of scientists and researchers studying human breast milk to understand how it supports healthy infant growth. Human breast milk is very complex, containing essential nutrients (fat, protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals) plus important non-nutrient components that are not found in infant formulas (hormones, growth factors, enzymes, antibodies and live cells).
