The APC provides repeatable results without requiring tooling, material or design changes to enhance and improve any part being casted at foundries around the world. We have proprietary research to be published in second half of 2021 confirming these claims. www.FCS-APC.com A metaphor to crudely describe what the output and value of the APC is as follows. Imagine the standard method of sand casting is represented by Swiss cheese it’s dense but the voids caused by the air bubbles that occur naturally when making Swiss cheese. These bubbles represent porosity. In metal casting porosity naturally occurs via the hydrogen attached to the liquid form of the molten metal. When this molten metal makes the phase change from liquid to solid the hydrogen bubbles conglomerate to create voids in the solid part. When the same part is cast with the Pascal Process instead of producing Swiss the APC produces solid, dense, cheddar. The Pascal process holds the hydrogen atoms in place at phase change and therefore they do not conglomerate. The parts cast by the APC have improved mechanical properties due to the virtual elimination of porosity. Parts have improved density and elongation.
