What We Do
Viance develops chemicals used to pressure treat lumber and plywood building materials for different purposes, such as fire retardant treated wood, or fence posts that resist decay and termite attack.
Industry
Construction
Color Preferences
Red/Orange - Imagery of fire, but suppressed or controlled
Gray - smoke
Black - charred wood

D-Blaze treated wood should smolder and become charred rather than burn rapidly. This idea of a slow, controlled smolder versus a fiery catastrophe is critical. The use of a "cool" color like blue may add that element of controlling fire.

Our current logo (attached) is NOT close to what we want in the new design. One design idea is to somehow use the negative space to depict a flame or some other icon of fire suppression.
We'll need color and b/w versions, with and w/o the tagline.

Logo is for product called "D-Blaze" and not the company name. Please do not use Preservation Innovation or the website in any logos. That's just company information.

Product name is "D-Blaze"

"Fire Retardant Treated Wood" is the tagline.

Fire wants to move upward, and D-Blaze helps prevent that natural progression. Current logo is ALL-CAPS and I'd like to see options in CAPS.

After seeing 20+ logos, I think the font makes a big difference. Tightly packed, blocky styles seem to work better than open, airy font styles.

After seeing 60+ logos, we've decided to not use a separate obvious flame, and prefer the fire imagery to come from the colors used (hot) and perhaps slight use of small flames coming from letters, such as 88, 79, 52.

Thanks.
