Color Preferences
I like the Hoovers colors (www.hoovers.com). The dark blue and yellow/gold. there is also a possibility of adding the third color but not necessarily needed - the light blue hoovers uses. I also like instead of the yellow the contrasting color to the blue on www.bycast.com. I dont think it will go well with the Hoover's dark blue...

UPDATE - I have liked a bit of yellow but not too much. Also, I am partial to the colors of bycast. they are more muted if more of it is required. Otherwise, the logo is too loud I think.

We need a very corporate look but needs to be aimed at Technology/Software executives

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

1st place - 50 points
2nd place - 20 points
3rd place - 10 points
4-6th place - 5 points
7-10 place - 3 points
10th on - 1 point

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

I tend to be partial to the darker blue. I havent really liked the yellow letters. I don't mind the more muted contrasting color (see entry #1) but i think it will be harder to see on black and white printing. I think one color for the letters will probably be better in the darker blue. I am not really keen on the lighter blue or the purple. I have liked the splash of yellow when it is very discreet, in a small dose and simple.

I think some of the designs with the bow ties and the crowns are too 'cute' and/or pretentious.

I also like the thinner lettering (although some of the top entries have thicker lettering) it is the concept. Disclaimer is that I havent seen them in thinner... so I may be still open to this...

Note - You can check our website www.vell.com if you haven't already. I sort of liked the Vell Executive Search but not the color. The diamond was too 'feminine'.

Also, I am not keen on the Oracle type lettering. some of the entries have it. When I see it with our logo it bothers me.

Love the blue of #165 best. I also like the blue on #145, #148.
The lighter blue on #172 I like less.

Logos I like the best - need to prioritize the ones I have picked... they are generally in the right order

Really nice entries, thank you! Some of the ones I deleted are very creative but for one reason or another I needed to eliminate.

One thing that maybe someone would like to explore is the idea of the puzzle piece. Building a leadership team is like building a puzzle. Putting a puzzle piece in a puzzle. FInding that piece that fits exactly in your painted picture.

The other idea I gave one person, but the concept didnt take the look I had wanted is the idea of the summit. If you look at the www.nacdonline.org logo, they focus on the top of the pyramid or the mountain.
I am not loving the NACD logo picture. But an idea. thank you again.

Thank you for all the wonderful designs.
I am having a hard time with the top 10-15+ entries. I like many of them. I need to print, and think and ask other people for opinions as well.

Dear Ms. Dora would you like us to also try to innovatively create a slogan for you as well, may spice up the presence of the logo?

Did the contest end early? I went to Submit, and it booted me out. I had an entry I wished to submit.

Sorry i am going all over the place. i took a large poll amongst the top ones and there is some dissention. i think the basic letters may work better. investigating and thinking about it further.
