TRGroup, LLCLogo Design Contest

1.) Please discontinue use of red color.

2.) Please discontinue use of LLC.

3.) Would like to incorporate a background and/or letter "lighting effect"/"shimmering effect" similar to the eye of the eagle in the ShadowAir LTD logo at www.ShadowAir.com if possible.

4.) TRGroup is Tactical Recon Group at www.TacticalReconGroup.com for info.

5.) I also like the color and logo design of EST at www.EnviroSciTech.com if that is of any help.

I don't want to stifle creativity, but I am leaning towards a design using the letters TR with the word Group underneath.

The T would be a chunky, block T merged into a chunky R but with the "upper right part of the R" being rounded. The left half of the T would join the R such that the resulting "leg" or "column" is the same width as the other leg of the R which is drawn at a slight angle from the bottom portion of the "upper right part of the R" as previously described.

The word "Group" in much smaller letters would be spaced directly beneath the two "legs" of the joined TR.

If you look at the TR, what you would see is a chunky "R" with a stubby rectangle attached to the upper left side of the "R" with the overall look appearing as if a chunky T and R were merged.

Hope this isn't too confusing. And once again, I don't want to stifle your creativity so have at it with any design you feel might win.

Important item: the logo needs to be on a white background since it will be used primarily as our website logo and the website has a white background.

Important Note: From here on out the colors I'm very heavily leaning towards are a darker bluish/silver metallic and/or darker bluish/gold metallic (or combination thereof) having a metallic sheen/shimmer/glimmer/halo effect on a WHITE background: can't emphasize WHITE background enough since the logo will be primarily used for our company website which has a white background.

Submissions are getting better and better and the race is really starting to tighten up. I will try to give as much feedback as often as possible but if I don't get back to you quickly it's likely because I'm still pondering an evaluation.

Thank you all for your fine efforts on my company's behalf. I am certain that those designs that did not make the Top 5 have merit and can be incorporated into future design projects, so all your efforts are not wasted by any means. We had one last minute entry (literally with only a minute or two to spare) which might have made the Top 5 if I'd had a bit more time to make the decision.

I have to say that you all are a very creative group and are to be commended for your efforts! Unfortunately, in the end, it comes down to a subjective, not objective decision where art is concerned, and we all have different ways of interpreting an artisan's offerings: art is in the eye of the beholder, as the saying goes.

The reason #262 vaulted to the top is that we just noticed some subtleties/nuances in the design regarding shading/contrast and positioning/angle of the design that were not evident to us at first glance or even upon closer inspection. However, these subtleties/nuances became apparent after requesting a change in the positioning/angle of the design.
