Thanks for the entries so far!

#2 and #3, we don't care for the script to carry through the whole logo, and also we'd like the text to not follow a bent path (not sure what that's called).

#4 - I really like the conceptual lime you came up with, but I'm not crazy about the text. Also, we don't want "photography" to be part of the logo.

Also, #1 this just seems a little too plain for me. We'd really like the font that is used to appear less common - not that we need a custom font, we just don't want it to look like the text was simply typed out in a word processor.

Great entries so far, thanks Tini for letting me know about placing comments on individual designers pages; I'll do that moving forward unless I have a comment that I think everybody can benefit from.

One thing I'd like to restate is that we'd like to see some customization on the typeface/font that is used, to give a unique feel. It doesn't have to be a crazy custom designed font, just something that makes it unique (beyond just spacing or things of that nature).

I'm excited to see what else everyone comes up with!

We're so impressed with the stuff you all are coming up with so far!

Two general points for everybody to be aware of:

1) We don't want to have the lime used in, on, or in place of one of the letters (ie the O in "youngrens" shouldn't be a lime). The lime should be able to stand independent of the rest of the logo.

2) We'd like to see "the" be lowercase, or at least it should be understated when compared to "youngrens"

A few general comments for everyone:

1) We don't want the lime to be a "wedge", but rather a whole slice (like our current logo)

2) Can somebody try making a lime that is more realistic and less conceptual, just for us to see? We are really liking all the stylized limes you are all coming up with, and that is definitely the direction we're headed, but we're interested to see what you can come up with. In our current logo, the lime is pretty realistic, but it is simply a clip-art lime, and we'd obviously like the lime to be custom.

hello youngrens, this was written by one of our moderators, was wondering if you could please have a read.

"How are you doing ? hope you are doing great. As this contest is about to come to an end, and you will be chosing the best new logo for your company, i just wanted to have your attention to some important point that you might be aware of or might not. I hope i am not miss understood by pointing out this to you and that you understand.

When the contest ends and you have made your mind and desicion about the winner logo, the winner gets the 1st place, but the 2nd and 3rd place and going on forward, 4th, 5th, 6th , etc , each one or slot should be filled with a seperate designer and different concept you found second best, third best to follow etc.

This helps towards us designers ranking and also it is a way from you to show your appreciation to the hard effort and trails put from the beginning by one designer or appreciating a nice design concept put earlier by a designer that led to developing on right direction for others and you getting the best you could at the end.

It feels frasturating for other designers and pointless of giving all the top rankings for same winner designer, while those were just a small variations of the winning design and therefore the other places 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc are not filled with different designs from a different designer.

So i hope you understood my point i was just trying to point out to you here and all the best of luck in chosing your winner logo, there are really good ones out there.

Hope everything is okay

I've checked the other designer's comments pages and we're ALL being told the exact same thing.
At this point, you're essentially asking all of us to do the same thing; to apply a design treatment that (if we chose to participate) kind of forces us to copy one another.
In fact, there are so many of the same essential designs in this contest, we ALL have a basis to be taken to logo court or take each other to logo court.
Not sure how to handle this situation.
Youngrens? Other designers? Thoughts...?

I wanted to address A-Ha's comment that Erin and I are all telling you the same thing as far as concepts go and forcing you all to develop logos that are very close to one another.

Erin and I have a very clear idea of what we want our logo to look like, and we've taken that clear image and done our best to disseminate that information to all of you through your individual comment pages (we were told early on to make a majority of our comments on designer's pages, and not the main page.) If you look at your individual comments, you'll see that they're essentially a reiteration of the comments and thoughts we've posted on the main contest page.

You've all worked really hard on this, and we appreciate all your efforts thus far. We're REALLY pleased with all the concepts, and the decision of which one to choose is a tough one! Thank you to everyone, again.

Thanks everyone :) We're totally stoked with all the entries, even the last minute ones! I just wanted to let you all know that at the conclusion of the contest we'll be sure to do a really fair ranking on all the designs that are shortlisted, paying attention to having a good representation of all the designers.

Thanks everyone for all the entries! We're SO impressed with so many of them. Erin and I will be completing the ranking sometime today/tomorrow.

FYI, for some reason the system isn't letting me rank entries. As soon as the issue is resolved, I'll be finishing up the ranking, giving each of the top 10 spots to different designers.
