Thanks for the chance to submit. Love your site and your approach.
It inspired these clean, high-end designs: #16 and #17
Each features the lime. The second (17) highlights the "you," which is what your work seems to be about; the uniqueness of the client. You celebrate them. From their point of view, this logotype tells them what you're all about. Them. :-)

Stylized type with a lime slice integrated into the 'g.'

#24 -- designed (not 'clip arty' lime slice replaces the 'O' in your name. Adds just a splash (pun intended?) of creative fun to the logotype. Also, note the unique and organic type. Not generic, computer-generated type.
#25 -- the two overlapping slices represent you as a couple as well as the couples you work with.
They can also be construed as abstractions of wedding bands.
Enjoy ;-) Suggestions, comments welcome. Want you to have logo you want and deserve.

We're digging these! We really appreciate the thought you're putting into this, it shows.

One thing that we've realized is that we don't want the lime to be use in any of the letters of the logo (the O or the G, for example) but to instead stand on its own, outside of the typeface.

That said, we really like the font in #16, and we'd love to see that with 1) a lowercase "the" and 2) a lime outside of the type. We also really like the organic feel of the font in #24, and again we'd like to see that with the lime removed from the type.

With the lime, our hope would be to build it into our branding with our clients where that would become almost a "mark" of sorts for us, so it needs to be different yet recognizable. Does that make sense?

Excited to see what you come up with!

Typo. Sorry:
There is no 30. It showed up weird color-wise. Withdrew it. Replaced it with 31.

Okay -- a few more variations. Trying not to go too far. Don't want a 'juice bar' vibe.
Trying to stay classy/classic. Hope ya dig 'em. Comments, suggestions always welcome!
Thanks,

btw -- #28 features the stylized lime in a way you can start to envision using just it; the lime, as your mark.

Ah-ha, you're rocking it. We're loving the style of the lime you've come up with, and the thing I most like about it is it's potential for use. Very versatile. What I would LOVE to see is a similar stylized piece, with the same feel, but with a "cut" lime, so it's more recognizable as a citrus fruit. Does that make sense?

I'm really appreciating your efforts to explore the lime as a mark without becoming indicative of a juice bar. We definitely want to stay classy :)

It might be interesting to see something like #27, with the same font and everything, but with everything lowercase. That font is pretty cool, I'd just like to see what all lowercase looks like.

Thanks so much, Geoff!

PS: I love that song, too (the Mraz tune). Glad you dig it!

FYI, I'm just indicating "not interested" on the ones where you have the lime in as an "O". I'm leaving one of them in for reference, though.

We're really liking the lime as in #53, thanks for adding in the internal slices. It looks really cool - would it be terribly difficult to bring the two halves together at the ends (there's a small white gap). I'm not set on it, but I'd really like to see what that looks like.

Additionally, could you use the lime from #53 with the font from #27, but with some minor tweaks? We'd like the font to look a little more unique - it's not that we want a custom font, but we want it to be tweaked so it's more recognizable and less generic. Some examples of brands that have slight tweaks to a standard font would be Crate & Barrel, Canon, Pottery Barn. Again, we like the font in #27, we just want to see more customization of the look of the typeface.

Rejecting #31, #60, #55 because we feel like the lime slice isn't as cool looking as your other designs. We're really loving the stylize lime as used in things like #62.

Heck, yeah! I'm happy to make those revisions.
I'm in Charleston, SC for an overnight trip and only have a stripped down laptop with me.
Tomorrow (Sunday) I'll be back home and on the suped-up desktop. I'll do all the tweaks/revisions and get 'em up a.s.a.p. Lovin' this :-D I know, I know; we creative types, right?
Thanks for the back and forth. Helps us get to the logo you really want.

#112 -- loosened up the lime a bit.
If you like the look of it,I can try it with other font treatments or tweak the color.
Please advise...
Thanks!

We're really loving this design and especially the font. Your lime is definitely a favorite.

However, I'm just curious to see if you can come up with a lime that blends the one you have here and the one we already have on our website. I really like the overall concept of the one we already have, but I really like how your designs are fresh, clean, and organic. Can you apply to our current lime? You'll see it on our website at www.theyoungrens.com.

I'd love to see what you can come up with!

Thanks!

I just thought of some more comments on our current lime that may help you out. What I like about our current lime is that it is on one side, its clean, has thin lines, and is immediately recognizable as a lime. A clients can't have any confusions as to whether the bug is a lime or not in order for our branding to be successful. Thanks!

#183 and #182 are definitely getting there. I like that the limes are tilted to the left. Maybe tilt the limes a little bit more? I feel like something is just not right with the perspective? It seems as though the green edge was added to the flat face without actually tilting anything - does that make sense? So it seems as if the perspective is off and it needs to be tilted a little more.

Thanks for all of your work, we really appreciate it!

Geoff-

Thank you SO MUCH for all your hard work on this, even though we ultimately went with another design, I can't tell you how much we appreciate your work.

Thanks!
