What We Do
We provide "Transfer Die Simulations" to the "Transfer Die" industry.

Color Preferences
• One suggested color palette could be black, white & process blue
• Also, try “Industrial Yellow” with blue or grey, aggressive yet “in control”
• Grey could work with a nice medium dusty blue
• Sophisticated “engineering”or “designy” feeling colors are good
• Should be fresh and calm
• Bright is OK, but not cartoony
Our Ideas & Additional Information
A “T-Sim Solutions” logo needs to be developed for a company that has developed proprietary software that can animate how metal parts are stamped in a Transfer Press. “T-Sim” is short for “Transfer Simulation”. Imagine a flat piece of metal that is stamped in a “die press”, then is lifted mechanically, from one die to the next, and is stamped again. This happens multiple times, (hence the term, “transfer die”) until the part is gradually stamped, step-by-step into its final shape. There are almost always problems. The fingers that pick up the part and move it to the next die, might not move the part efficiently, or the part might bump something along the way. Dies in the different transfer presses might take too long or too short to come down to stamp the part, or take too long to lift up out of the way. Incorrect settings can cause a die to break, distort, chip, or wear. Or the entire transfer stamping process might take too long. T-Sim Solutions can simulate a transfer die stamping process with computer animation, and adjust the timing and/or movements, virtually, to avoid breaking, chipping, and wearing. It can also maximize the speed, for an improvement in profit. (More parts per hour) Die transfer stamping companies that don’t use the “T-Sim Solutions” Transfer Simulation try to make all of the necessary adjustments on-press, by watching for problems visually. For some problems, it’s too late, the dies have to be taken apart, shipped back to the die maker, and re-tooled. This is VERY costly. T-Sim Solutions helps to eliminate stress, wasted time and money, and missed deadlines.

Discussion

I'll rate the designs in a couple of hours. Around 5:00 Michigan time. I'm still not seeing anything that captures our vision. I do like the colors and geometric shapes, but so far the energy is either looking like a spinning process, or only an up and down process. Our Transfer Simulation happens "virtually" (as an animation or video in our software), and it is virtually testing a process that has up and down motion (stamping dies) that is combined with a horizontal movement (the metal part that is stamped, moving from die to die to die, etc, until it is finished)

I just got permission from our client to include a link to their website. This page has a link to a video that shows how "T-Sim Solutions" works. http://3ddiedesign.com/transfer-simulation/

You'll notice that it's not called "T-Sim Solutions" yet.

There are not very many logos that use all lowercase for the "t-sim" part. I am interested in seeing some designs with upper and lowercase as follows:

The Open Phase has been extended until Monday. This will ensure that we can work more closely with the designers and the client, on Monday and Tuesday for the Finalist Stage. Thanks everyone!
