SPIN (Sports Idol Nation)Logo Design Contest

I don't really love any of them but a few of you have the right idea. Lets get away from ESPN like logo and more into the movement of something or something that says sports idol etc...

Please look at the logo I posted. I had this done here on Logo Tournament a year ago. I really enjoy the colors and how they used letters subtly along with clearly showing it was a gymnastics logo. Let this one show you the style and quality I'm looking for. Thanks so much! I would say to the contest management that I'm bringing the idea of these colors so everyone should be able to use them in their designs!

A few of you have used the S as the main logo and that could work well. I do want you to push the ideas further. I also personally like how silhouettes or figurines of people can look if done correct or used correctly in the logo. Again look at the colors of the logo I posted. Almost certainly all finalists will need to have those colors.

Good job thus far however I think its time for some fresh ideas. Remember the challenge of making them say "Sports" without the lettering. Again look at the logo I have already posted in the contest description. Something with an S that can say sports and then the tagline and other writing can be below. Again using silhouettes could be an idea or some kind of ball spinning...My favorite sports are Football, Gymnastics, Golf, Basketball, Tennis, etc...Anyway the point is to push the ideas to the next level if you can! Thank you!

Okay maybe use a greek or roman god that is synonymous with sports. That would/could be out of the box. Silhouette or something? I like the last round of logos better but I still don't see "the one". Take these concepts and turn them into an "S" or something that says SPIN or Sports Idol Nation etc and you will be the winner!!!

I guess I'm going to open up the colors again. For some reason it seem like the right thing to do.

Look at this outline of a football. Stylistically I like this. Imagine that logo spinning inside of an S or something similar. Also try and use silhouettes which are below the football link.

Maybe try a Spinning Roman Athlete or something interesting. I'm not seeing "The One" still... Lots of great ideas but sometimes you just know when you see it and as good as some of these are I'm still struggling to see it. Keep the ideas coming. The reason Gods are part of my thought process is because it suggest we are going to make this about Idols as well which to me Gods are a sign of. So the athletes using this site will be Idolized a bit or at least that is part of the "me" side of the technology. So keep that in mind!

Also think Sports Celebrity aka Sports Idol. Maybe that will help some of you. Also some of the roman ones are cool but I haven't seen very many renditions with those themed...Some of you that have good ideas and are in the interested page but not the Top 5 still have a chance because its a wide open contest still!

There is an hour left of the open logos. I have not seen a logo concept that is definitely the one so I still view this as wide open. I would like to see the best possible creativity and someone who has read through all my posts here. I will know it when I see it, who wants to win right now?

Okay finalists! Congratulation and time to bring that creativity because we have a lot of work to do! I would love to see some fresh ideas based on what I've posted previously here. Look at the screen shots, really read and interpret the comments, and lets see who wins!

Finalists, I'm a little dissapointed that there have been so few revisions or attempts. The contest is almost down to the final designer and its still wide open. Hope you have some new ideas in the next few hours.
