Spark’s mission is to provide life-changing apprenticeships to youth in underserved communities across the United States.

Color Preferences
We'd like to see several options: 1) colors that match the original Spark logo (see link) or 2) colors that match the Spark logo in grayscale or silver. For this 2nd option, colors might include deep pink or fuschia or deep blue or purple.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
This logo pertains to our annual benefit event, Sugar Rush, which will be held in at least three different cities. For this purposes, we will focus on our Sugar Rush Bay Area. This event supports a nonprofit organization called Spark (company logo attached). Sugar Rush is a dessert tasting event, featuring some of the area's top chefs/restaurants. Attendees will pay a substantial ticket price to sample desserts, enjoy wine bars, socialize with other high-income young professionals, bid on high-end items in live and silent auctions, and learn about our cause. The slogan for this year's event is "Sweet Dreams."

This event benefits Spark, a nonprofit organization that provides workplace apprenticeships for underserved youth (company logo attached). We would like a logo for this annual event that can be used with slight modifications over multiple years for multiple locations (the date and location should be easily changeable, if included).

We have uploaded the Spark company logo. Designers are encouraged to either: 1) incorporate this logo into the event logo design or 2) just use the word "Spark" in the event logo design.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

For clarification, Spark is the name of the organization and the logo for the organization is attached. The competition is for a logo for Spark's annual fundraiser, a high-end dessert tasting called SUGAR RUSH, which features the top pastry chefs from the top restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area. The event is aimed at young professionals, especially those who appreciate good food, good wine, and music, and are interested in helping kids.

We would like to see logos that either incorporate or work well with the Spark logo or just the word Spark. We would also like to see logos that incorporate the year (2011) as well as the location ("Bay Area" for these purposes). If we get a good response in the Bay Area, we'd like to use the logo with modifications in future years and cities (Los Angeles, Chicago, so no picture references to San Francisco). This year's Sugar Rush theme is "Sweet Dreams", which references not only the sweet desserts, but the fact that Spark gets underserved kids to think about how education can lead to their 'dream jobs'.

It would also be great to see logos with picture motifs, which we failed to select when setting up the contest! Possible suggestions include whipped cream, cherries, or perhaps a dessert in a wine/champagne glass! We're excited to see your creativity!

Contest Note: Hi all this contest is extended. The client requested more time for the following reason:

Client needed to update designers and adjust the emphasis the logo must have.

Thank you, Designers, for all these great designs! We'll have more entry-specific comments tomorrow (it's late here!), but just a note that we're looking for sophisticated, upscale designs as opposed to 'cute'. Our audience will be male and female professionals (lawyers, engineers, bankers, etc.), so we want them to think of this evening event as hip, fun, and adult. It's called Sugar Rush, but we don't want the logo to look too sweet! Thanks - we're excited to see what else comes in!

Designers, thank you for all your submissions - this is fun! Please do not get offended if we're putting things in the 'not interested' category. It's very hard to compare and view all of the submissions and so we're moving things out so we can get the ones we like in closer visual proximity to each other. Hope that makes sense!

Awesome Designers,
Please note that these rankings are not the final ones! Our team won't be able to get together to look at them until the work week starts. We wanted to get as many on the board as we could by the time the contest ended, however. Thank you all for your great work and for responding to our variation requests!
