We like the direction you are going, but is there a way to make it look more upscale/sophisticated (and less juvenile)?

Hi Violet,

This is definitely moving in the right direction! Can the bottom line say Spark Bay Area * 2011 (just add the word "Spark")?

I'd love to see a version with Sugar Rush in silver font (similar to the color of the martini glass) and perhaps a version with Sugar Rush in a slightly less feminine font?

Thanks for your patience with us!

Sorry for the many comments, but I wanted to clarify. You can change one thing (i.e. change the font color to silver but leave the font type the same) and post that as a version, and then post another version with both font color and type altered, for example. We really like the layout and want to present a diverse array of options to our team.

A few more things to consider:
-It'd be great to see one without the blue border and with the border in different colors

Looking forward to seeing future iterations!

#8 #9 #10 and #11 are trying to incorporate the feedback and #12 in introducing another idea.

Feel free to let me know if there is anything else you would like to see, or if there is a entry you want me to work more on.

Thanks,
Violet

Regarding #8, 9, and 10: Great to have so many options. Can we see one with a bolder color for the font (maybe a fuschia or blue/purple?). Can we also see a version with a champagne or wine class with dessert in it in lieu of the martini glass (one of our Board members is concerned that this will mislead guests since we are serving wine/champagne but not cocktails).

Regarding #5: I love the layout and simplicity. Is there a way to change the font of Sugar Rush and potentially the graphic to make it look a little more sophisticated/adult?

Regarding #12: I will discuss with the team and get you feedback soon.

FYI - We have extended the contest by 3 days.

For #13 and #14 I tried to make it the text more sophisticated and instead of trying to put an identifiable dessert (i.e cupcake, or cake), I created one that has elements of what you might find in a high-end restaurant dessert, like a custard, whipped cream, caramel, chocolate strawberries, in hopes that it doesn't peg this event as having one type of sweet.

Nice! I'd love to see #8/9 with all things the same except changing the font to fuschia or something and replacing the martini glass with a wine glass, if possible.

Totally okay to have one specific dessert (even just simple whipped cream w/ cherry or a cupcake or whatever). I'm not even terribly worried about the martini glass being misleading, but it'll be good to have a variety of options.

Thanks for all of these iterations. Not crazy about the one with blue background -- think we want to stick with white background.

We may be veering too feminine with these. Is it possible to see something a little more sophisticated but that might appeal to a male audience as well?

In general, the dessert images look a little cartoony. Best to keep them simple and classic I think?

I hope this makes sense!

Violet, we encourage to keep playing around with #9, #18, #11 with stronger, more upscale colors. We want the logo to "pop" out, but the colors are blending into the white background. For #9, perhaps you can try making "RUSH" a different color so the entire thing isn't gray on white. Also, try a stronger border.

For #18 & #11, recommend versions with a more solid color instead of the ombre or shiny look. Please also try with stronger, less pretty fonts.

Would also love to see less "girly" desserts - think of an evening with champagne and not an afternoon tea party. Look forward to seeing what else you come up with!

Thanks for the feedback, uploading some new concepts as they get finished.

I was wondering, what colors would consider upscale? To me, I think of black, white, greys, like found in entry #43.

Feel free to continue to let me know what works and what doesn't work for you. It really helps out a lot!

Thanks for #43 & #45 - like the stronger, less feminine font, but also making it black makes it a little too heavy. Can you try making them a different color? As for upscale color, I think it's more than just the color, but the color and font together. I do tend to think that too many treatments on the color make it look less upscale. Can you try a deep, deep pink? Not like a bubblegum pink, but something intensely deep.

Thanks for explaining your thoughts about the color and effects. Here's a deeper pink. If you need to see anymore changes, just let me know. I'll be around the computer today and will push to get any changes in you want b4 the contest is over.
