Hi, Here is my idea. I wanted to create an elegant, fun and clever mark to effectively communicate with the target audience. I used a waiter's hand holding a tray to symbolize the high-end nature of the event in a playful way. On the tray is a cake that has the name of the event as a part of it. I did this, to tie all the elements into a cohesive mark that tells what type of even it is. I hope this is to your liking. Thank you, David
1) Before I read your note, I didn't know that was a waiter's hand. Can we see a version where it's changed to something simpler (maybe just the bottom part of the cake or the plate?). 2) Probably best to stick with white backgrounds 3) Can we see something with a slightly more masculine font?
David Love the new design! (#36) Would love to see variations on it, especially with color. Can you try color combos that go more sophisticated and perhaps ones that evoke nightlife? One with a more urban font that still let's you do the dessert/wine in the "U" would be great, too. The same goes for #31/32 - would love to see variations on those themes that aren't so 'cute' and would appeal to 30 year old male professionals as well.
Your portfolio is fantastic and some on our team were particularly attracted to your ultra-modern and hip designs. We'd love to see logos that go in that direction with more vibrant colors, angles, and/or stylizing. Hope that makes sense! Thanks for your fantastic efforts!
Thanks, David. Like #46, but can you darken the text? The color overlay (light to dark) makes it a bit hard to read - or perhaps remove it altogether? I think I may be confusing you a bit with my instructions as well. This particular design is very retro, 1920s, art deco, but you have some cool modern designs that we'd like to see. In particular, some of your Live Camden and Mode Fabrikken designs that look cool and clubby - we'd love to see Sugar Rush imagined in that way, if possible. Thanks again!!
Yes, definitely in a fun direction - thanks! Would love to see even more if you have ideas! On #57, can you try equalizing the 'Sugar' and the 'Rush'? The Sugar looks a bit squished down - can you make it the same size as RUSH or at least a tad bigger? Might need to increase the white space between the two, but not sure how that will work. Also, can you try a darker brown to see how that would feel? Thanks!
Hi, Thank you so much for you prompt feedback. Here are my amendments as I understand them. Acting on what was in the design brief I opted not use any city scape, however, when you directed me to the logos that had a possible "feel" for what you wanted, it was clearer to me, how to interpret this logo.
In the one set I use a regular city scape as part of the cakes decoration and in another I made an abstract city from cup cakes and wine glasses.
I truly hope my new entries are what you wanted from me. Thanks again David.
David, these are so fun! Thank you for your hard work! I've re-ranked what I like, but as I've posted to to all designers, the entire team from several cities will need to get together this week and look at them. We had not wanted a city scape in particular, but general ones look great and can be worked around. Once we pick a general favorite, I'm sure we'll come back for slight changes to make it perfect and to everyone's liking. Thanks again for your revisions and for taking direction so well!
Thanks for all your great work! I'm sorry that in the end the team went for another designer, but think you have some wonderful work to add to your portfolio. And points as well!
