All the images thus far use a sort of ying-yang style with amorphous figures. We would prefer a more child-focused image with a younger, pediatric feel. Cartoons or stick-figures would be more appropriate. I like how the font in #3 personifies the actual words "small" & "TALL". It'd be nice to have a bit more color. Thanks for the entries. Keep 'em coming.

The style of font used in entry #4 and entry #5 is more along the lines of the style we're going for: more child-friendly but not goofy. We would like to see the way "small to tall" was written out in entry #3 by using lower case small letters for the word "small" and upper case tall letters for the word "tall". Overall we would like to avoid an image that seems corporate, which #1, #2, and #3 seemed to portray. The image in entry #4 and #5 didn't really grab us either. A tooth graphic is not necessary. We would prefer to see an image of a child or children, rather than a tooth.

Hello designers. We appreciate the entries than have come in thus far and we look forward to more submissions. I thought we'd include some more guiding information to help with the creative process. First of all, please try to work with the color choices we've selected. We want to avoid pink, purples, and maroons. We'd prefer stronger greens, blues, and light grey. Reds, yellows, and oranges are OK, too, but we'd prefer these to be accent colors. As for the concept, we'd like to present an image that personifies growth rather than size difference between two different individual objects. One idea we would like to see possibilities for would be a shadow concept, whereby an older child's shadow is cast from a younger child's image. Child silhouettes would be preferred over typical dental images. We've included a couple of documents on the contest brief that illustrates this idea in a couple of ways. We know you all are more creative and could probably come up with a better way of presenting it. Also, we do want to have a child-friendly image, but we do not want it to be too goofy. Cartoony is OK, but to a certain point. A cool, sleek child-friendly image would be more appropriate to capture the attention of the young parents that will be seeking out our practice. Thanks for all your effort. I hope these general comments are helpful and we look forward to more submissions.

Other concepts that would be interesting to see as we're attempting to narrow down our vision:

1) Please see the attached document that has been added to the contest brief entitled "wooden toy rings". These toy rings are meant to capture the "small to tall" idea. A well-designed version using this image would be interesting. Children and/or dental images could be involved.

2) Could we see a tall child standing next to a small child, but the small child would be at the same height as the tall child. This would be possible because the small child would be standing on a stack of toy wooden alphabet blocks subtly shaped like teeth. The stack could be one vertical stack or maybe two vertical stacks like steps. The letters of the alphabet blocks (teeth) would use the letters "S" "t" "T" "P" "D" which might somehow spell out "small to tall pediatric dentistry".

3) A simple image of open lips. Inside, in place of teeth, is written "small to TALL" (1st line) pediatric dentistry (2nd line). Some of the vertical letters like "L" and "T" could be darker or bolder. These bolder aspects appear as the outlines or divisions of teeth. Hard to explain - can anyone envision this?
