Hello Everybody! I encourage you to view the website www.shopoldtown.com as this is a great "highlight" of the variety of businesses surrounding our new bookstore. The bookstore is going into our new Vidrio development, the center space, right under the 3 arches.

You already had the "name" contest and the winner was: "Railroad Book Depot"
now you want a logo to go with the winning name, right?

Hi Designers,

Please be sure to reference the following document: http://www.pittsburgfoundation.org/files/BookstoreLogo_Context.pdf. It contains additional information about the context of the bookstore, as well as some inspiration. Take a look at the historic inspiration, the exterior colors of the building, and the interior colors and materials.

Additional information on the bookstore is available at http://www.pittsburgfoundation.org/bookstore.html.

We hope you'll check these out, and we'd love to see some new concepts born.

Thank you again for all your hard work!

Thanks,

@ Scott

We do indeed have an RFP out. After releasing the RFP, we learned of this website. We are on a tight timeline to select our interior finish material and prepare our marketing materials/signage, because the bookstore is scheduled to open in November. The logo is an essential component, and iit is best selected early in the process. We are hoping to identify a winner and logo in the next three days based on this contest. If we are not happy with the winning logo, then we will fall back on our RFP. I hope this answers your questions. For more information visit: http://www.pittsburgfoundation.org/files/BookstoreLogo_Context.pdf, and http://www.pittsburgfoundation.org/bookstore.
Your portfolio looks wonderful, so we do hope you submit some designs for our bookstore!

@ Creative Means

The bookstore was indeed named via a Name the Bookstore contest, however, a logo has not yet been chosen. That's where you come in! Please visit http://www.pittsburgfoundation.org/files/BookstoreLogo_Context.pdf, and http://www.pittsburgfoundation.org/bookstore.html for additional information that will help guide you in your designs. We hope to see a some designs from you!
