Hi! I love your concept for the railroad tracks coming down the book. I'd love to see the concept made a bit more playful, bright, and fun. You might consider angling the book edges, using a less-sophisticated train, and placing the text elswehere in a different format - I want to be sure the text can be read in small print and at a distance. You might also try a bigger train. You are a very talented designer, and we are lucky to have you involved in the competition.

I took a look at your portfolio and was very impressed. I love your designs for "the shape of air" and "kaya kids" that you show. I also like that you work in vector, and the clean lines of your desinns.

I recently posted link on the project summary page:http://www.pittsburgfoundation.org/files/BookstoreLogo_Context.pdf. It contains important information about the context of the design, in particular, some photos of historic coal cars, and renderings/photos/samples of the bookstore's interior and exterior colors/materials. I would love for you to take a look at this and come back with another few concepts.

Again, we are thrilled to have you in our competition. Please keep up the good work!

#9 this one is really growing on me. I appreciate you taking the time to learn about old town. I'd love to see the train defferentiated from the tracks a bit more, possibly in color. Also, if you look at the context doc I linked to, you'll see our shelves are brown, and the building exterior is also warm tones. I like that this design works in b&w, but would love to see the black made a rich brown, and see you play w color a bit. Also, would you play with the coal car idea from the context page? Thanks! # 27 28 & 29 are Fun and clever, a bit too kid- centric for us.
