Color Preferences
Any trendy colors are great: Turquoise is huge right now. Also, lime green, orange, fuschia, classic black. Muted palettes are great too. We are open to your suggestions.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
If this logo were to stand on its own.... people should know what the "NWA Boutique Show" is... A SHOPPING EVENT. We really want to see sort of image/character/icon that says "shopping" loud and clear to our customers. We want it to be 100% evident that this is a place our customers can come to SHOP... not just a fashion show or exhibition.

YOUR LOGO will be THE springboard for the ENTIRE look and decor of the show. We will carry it's colors and overall vibe throughout the signage, accessories, booths, etc.

An icon, character or graphic of some sort is important to us... anything as long as it is not a straight "wordmark." A shopping bag? A woman shopping? A grouping of boutique storefronts? Icons representing our merchants products? We know you will have dozens of ideas... YOU ARE THE CREATIVE MINDS... those are just a few to get you thinking.

Important: Though the full name of our show is the "Northwest Arkansas Boutique Show"... you may choose to downplay the "Northwest Arkansas" part and use "NWA" if you'd like. We'd like to look at both options. The words "boutique show" should have more prominence.

This logo will be used in women's magazine ads, direct mail, invitations, web, etc. It shouldn't be overly wide in case we place a small vertical magazine add.

Discussion

#1 The "nwa" part seems a little hard to read and busy.
#2 The "northwest arkansas" part of the word treatment is too prominent and should take more of a backseat in the logo. Also, the font in the first letters is too gothic or "robinhood" for us.

#3 Love the colors!

#13 Love the icons! They really represent us well!

#8 Really like the tag idea! One of our gals thought it was a perfume atomizer at first glance.... I guess I can see that. So maybe a tweak on that if we pursue that look.

#12 We like that this is colorful... but we need to be really careful with any reference to crafty granny items. I this case, we are reminded of a hand-crafted quilt. Nothing against "craft fairs".. but we just want to make sure our public knows that this is actually an upscale gift/decor/jewelry/clothing/etc. show and as we often say, "this isn't your grandma's craft fair." We'd love to see any other ideas you may have.

#9-11 We like the idea of an icon... that could even stand alone if needed. Good idea. However... we feel that this particular icon evokes the idea of a gym or spa. Something that stands alone for us needs to convey boutique shopping. Any other thoughts?

P.S. Also... we should probably only reference the "northwest arkansas" part of our name once.... either as NWA or in the entire phrase... but not both.

#3 Refined and very readable. We'd like to see some sort of icon, graphic, "character," etc. Any thoughts? What says "boutique shopping" to you?

We love turquoise. Would love to see it in some of your ideas.

#30 Could we see this one without the three icons at the top... keeping the awning. :o) Thanks!!

These are all great... everyone has such talent. However... we really need to see sort of image/character/icon that says "shopping" loud and clear to our customers. We want it to be 100% evident that this is a place our customers can come to SHOP... not just a fashion show or exhibition. This could take the form of a shopping bag, a storefront (or even grouping of storefronts... think rodeo drive boutiques), a hip trendy woman carrying a shopping bag, a collection of icons, an assortment of products available at the show. (good job #28)

#36... perhaps products are coming out of the bag.. instead of birds. Some of our staff felt the birds evoked wedding imagery. Good point. (though I'm a sucker for the little modern bird.... so cute... maybe it's not the right graphic to invoke the idea of "boutique shopping" to our audience.)

If this logo were to stand on its own.... would people know what the "nwa boutique show" is? Food for thought.

#52 We'd love to see one with a striped awning and a bit more of a "bag-shaped" store. Cute idea to use the bag as the store.

#57 Great!

Hi All! We are extending our contest so we can see some additional designs. We would like to see some fresh new ideas that capture the thoughts in our brief. #51, #57 and #46 do a great job of that.

Just so everyone knows..... What we are really liking about #51 is that it is simple enough to use on many different applications.... from banners, magazine ads, business cards, the staff aprons, event signage, etc. ... but it also says "shopping for women!" loud and clear. The colors are also versatile enough to use for the November show and the April show. Because our show is bi-annual, our logo has to be able to swing "fall"... and "spring"... and not be too much of either. We can envision using this logo in the spring as-is... and perhaps adding a holiday bow to the bag for the November show. Just wanted to give an explanation as to why this is our front-runner. Would love to see even more ideas! "It's not over till it's over"... as they say. :o)

#13 and #28 do a great job of showing various things our merchants sell at our show. That's important.... because we don't want people to think it's just clothes. In fact... clothing and accessories are only about 10% of the mix. The other 90% is home decor, children's decor, jewelry, gifts, toys, specialty food items, candles, floral, baby items, custom monogramming/embroidery, pottery, pewterware, etc.

Would love to see some new ideas.... staff meeting on Monday.... want to present something amazing. We've had a lot of great submissions.... but we need more! We're not there yet.
