Northern Lights TacticalLogo Design Contest

Of the first seven entries, I'm not sure a sun burst graphic relates to what we do. In general, I'd like to see more of a graphic that could stand on its own if the text weren't present. Also, I do like the words "Northern Lights" together and the word "Tactical" separated as in entries #1 and #6.

If you need additional inspiration, our sister company "Northern Lights Productions" has been in the business of creating visual effects software for many years. Our software has been used in many films such as Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Star Trek: First Contact, Austin Powers: Goldmember, Men In Black II, The Bourne Identity, Behind Enemy Lines, Galaxy Quest, and many others.

General comment: I'd like to see some designs that are less ethereal and more mechanical. If the two concepts can be blended, that might be interesting.
