Color Preferences
modern colors in subtle professional looking shade. go crazy with colors, anything is a go. some colors that i like are orange (modern, creative), grey / silver (cool, professional, confident), white (clear, perfection), black (bold, clear, fits with print docs). but please do not be limited to these. logo needs to be professional - but does not need to be boring
Our Ideas & Additional Information
LOGIC FOR THE NAME: FIRST, It comes from Excenter - which is a math term (so stresses analytical nature of my work). The term represents the center of a circle which is tangent to one side of the triangle. Because there are three sides of each triangle - every triangle has three excenters and three excircles; ***** SECOND, Because Excenter is OUTSIDE of the TRIANGLE - idea for the name is that I am external to an organization - yet able to identify something CENTRAL to the issue / problem. *** THIRD I work with issues relevant to CUSTOMER which is outside of an organization (thus the idea of a CENTER point that it OUTSIDE of the triangle is important). *** FOURTH, because there are three Excenters to every triangle - this stresses that there are multiple solutions / point of views to many issues which I am able to uncover. FINALLY, feel free googling images of "excenter" to get the pictorial of the math term (but it does not have to be LITERALLY represented in the logo)

The previous entries have all been 'not-interested' to create a clean slate.

Hey you're back. Will get cracking on some new designs. Looking forward to starting on this one again. :-)

Thank you again to all designers who submitted their ideas to date. Unfortunately none of the names submitted fit the bill (though many wonderful, creative and gorgeous designs were suggested). I therefore picked my own name for the company and have re-launched the contest (with the remaining days from the original contest) for the designers to create a logo to. I welcome all submissions and am looking forward to reviewing the work!

thank you for great work!

grey / orange combo works well - but i encourage everyone to think outside the box.

would like to see more graphics rather than just a plan (or nearly plain) name - a symbol combined with words. combination of circle and triangle is one (but not the only) idea since this is the meaning of the word excenter.

another idea for graphic symbol is the idea of data which can be represented with dots (kind of like morse code) or a matrix of dots (which may look nicer graphically) in a random pattern of orange and grey colors

in terms of images let's make sure not to use images that are remenicent of other images (e.g. #179, #172, #175 are similar to mercedes logo)

the currently top rated designs all have nice font

#182 i like the idea of graphic / letter combination though in this case it makes "C" look a bit like "O" - but if there is still a way to imbed this idea in the logo it would be great.

another idea for graphic / word combo is an idea of using the letter X - X is a nice letter to represent center and also to imbed a triangle in - perhaps a circle around it in the background with extending arms of X may be something to play with. X can be made of dotted lines (as it is often done to represent a radius or diameter of a circle)

- like the new designs that incorporate abstract representation of circle and triangle combination (elements that suggest 'excenter' but not so explicitly which is great - such as 234, 240, 255, 251, etc.)
- generaly like word / symbol combination better than just word
- interesting idea to reverse direction of letters or turn things on a side or upside down - but it can't get too flirty, this is a corporate logo after alll
- would like more variations on 245 symbol (triangle hiding inside three circles) - which is an intersting representation of one case of excenter.
- go crazy with colors - couple of you that created red / grey and grey blue and other combination color designs look pretty cool.
- designs that have more elaborate 3d / 2d elemens seem too complicated and unclear - such as # 253, 242

hi everyone! many many thanks for wonderful designs - i am really sorry to move few icons to not interested. i just want to make sure i can manage the huge inflow of entries and give proper feedback. i have left individual feedback on many of your pages - please feel free asking more more guidance!

generally, few ideas
- like simplier logos better
- word + pictorial (either above or on a side of a logo)
- google EXCENTER (math term) to see if you get inspired by the pictorial for the logo idea
- like trying out select elements in 3d (spheres)
- play with colors (red and black? blue and black? grey and black? any other combination?)
- one idea is to use the idea of data (like 'morse code') more explicitly, e.g. using the 4 x 4 matrix of dots (do not have to be the same length - or can be the same length), using 2 color dots to represent info / lack of info (like 1 and 0).

greetings - FANTASTIC designs ideas. PLEASE NOTE - designs currently ranked in top 15 are the concepts that I liked the most. I moved variations on concepts lower in the tournament so in these last few hours of the contest I can focus on the shape more, since so many fantastic designs have been submitted in the last few hours. general feedback is below - i will provide more specific feedback re variations on individual designer's pages.

- like the ideas of 15-puzzle and data bits represented as dots
- 3d is working well on spheres (but 2d is nice too)
- designs will often go on the bottom of the page (in the Word page footer) so details / font need to be prominent enough when seen in an inch x inch size
- like when logo includes a smart play on the EXCENTER contept (triangle + circle that are ajasent to each other)
- like when logo includes smart play on letters themselves and uses those as integral part of the pictorial
