The icon is based on a proof from Euclid's elements. Given a line segment, an equilateral triangle exists including the segment to form a side. A portion of the equation was cut from a square, allowing the viewer to only see the upper half where the triangle forms between the circles. The triangle functions as a visual reference to balance while the circles show continuity. The symbology together builds trust, reliance, and a stability. The equation within the square was rotated 45 degrees to give the impression of progressive development, expansion, and growth. The design works in 1 as well as 2 colors.
hi there! i really love the simplicity and 'corporate' look of the logo. i also really like that the complexity occurs within the square - framing it and ultimately making the image easy to digest (while still communicating a sophisticated idea).
the resulting pictorial though i feel is a bit too abstact - it is not very clear what this actually means. the 'total' image is not somehting that is on everyone's mind - so when we show an element it does not suggest the entire picture in an obvious way...
i;d love for you to remain with the idea of 'squared' (boxed in) image - but think of additional visual references that could be a bit more striking and communicate the ideas for my business - insight, information-driven, data, solutions, balance, perspective, etc.
This next series is based off of 2 triangles. One option shows a box. one option shows a diamond and one option shows an X. I brought the element into the wording as well in the shape of an X...That way, the name can stand alone as a wordmark if you chose not to use the icon. The icon can also be used by itself and still translate your company name in a simple little symbol.
i there. i like your suggested logo (currently rated as 1) but would like you to play with positioning of the logo inside the square. 450 and 449 are a bit too obvious... can you look up EXCENTER actual graphic and see if you could come up with something more relevant to the concept (but also have it as white lines inside the red square). many thanks!
