TALKING ABOUT FONTS
We left serifs like Times New Roman behind us. Although elegant it's not distinctive enough, and IT doesn't work that well on screen.

We aim for a sans-serif slightly bold, but still elegant font. Or if you wanna get really creative a pretty handwritten font, as long as it's still a good read.

TALKING ABOUT COLOR
We also consider identities with dark or colored backgrounds and white text.
Of course it also has to work on white in case we want to print.

TALKING ABOUT IMAGES
We slightly prefer the word 'metrovision' to be accompanied by a symbol, icon, emblem. To get your creative juices flowing here are some of our thoughts.

Of course you can use the M, V or both. In fact previous versions of our logo consisted of two human figures wich togerher with the V formed an M.

Humans (more than one) might be a great idea since we help people communicate, in à networked society.
And we form teams for our clients.

Since we started the world has changed, the web has changed. So an icon in style with the icons used on so many social media platforms might be very appropriate. Same goes for imagery referencing to electronic publishing and or communication (like textballoons).

Then there's the revérence to coding HTML. The most elegant being the } or {

And if we were an animal, it would be an OCTOPUS :)

We're very interested in what you can do with these ideas and suggestions.

#10 like the radar-like disc. Can be radar or RSS, nice. Might work even better using just the disc, without the eyecorners. Font needs adjustment. Too common, bit too bold. Maybe you can use a less common, more elegant slightly less bold (demi-bold or regular font). Than add the radar beam ...

#3 Like what you tried to do with the M and the V! But I most say it reminds me a bit of the Batman logo.
Actually I think that could work but then, we'd have to go all the way. Meaning really cartoon/marvel-comicslike look & feel. And of course different typography. I know you submitted before my remark about sans-serif. But we're pretty sure that (or script) works better. And we might be convinced otherwise, but not with Times New Roman or equivalent. So if you're willing and inspired to make a really bold superhero logo, be our guest. Might help us stand out from the crowd. And to our clients we are some sort of heroes :)

#5 I really really like your portfolio. So I'm hoping to see much more of that back in this contest. Is that possible. You were one of the first to submit. So maybe with all the feedback and updates you can design a strong logo, with original typography and some emblem, icon or symbol.

To us the logical place for the symbol, icon, emblem will be left or right next to the word (metrovision). Above it probably will make the logo higher / too high for use in interfaces etc.
And I'd really like to see more extraordinary fonts than gill, arial, verdana etc. Maybe spent more time on great font and some adjustments to it, and less on the symbol.

Before I'll start (re)ranking your entries and giving specific feedback. I want to say this:
I'd love to see some other color combinations. Or background/foreground switches.

On our current site www.metrovision.nl we use next to black, purple and red against a white background.
For my other site at www.vanstate.nl we use black as background color and white and bright colors for text.
Of course you are free in your choice of colors, but I see a lot of black and orange, and few alternatives coming in. I thought now is the time to say something about it.

ALL designers! Have filed request for 3 days extra!

Because of the huge success of the contest, the quality and variations in the designs. I have asked LogoTournament to extend the contest with 3 days. This will give some designers who have entered only today more time for ther next entries.
Also the problems with different time zones will be resolved using the extra time.
