#7 - really like the introduction of the graphical elements. seeing the concepts of people, freedom, tree/growth. would like to see more ideas in this direction. possibly somehow increasing the readibility of the "JW" motif.

#7, #18, #6 - we're pleased to see a more graphical leaning on the "JW".

To all, the "JW" theme is great, and we're definitely looking to see a few ideas NOT based on letters. Graphics or symbols alone without "JW" or "Judith Wiley" are something we would really love to see!

Hi everyone! Thank you for the great concepts so far!

After some more discussion, the logos have been re-ranked. #20 and #7 are definitely a direction we like...

The representation of:
- People, couples
- Reaching, growing
- Stylized integration of initials

We're excited to see what new/refined ideas you have to present.

Thanks!

Hello, just wondering: when you say your color preferences are "Red, auburn, or brown-ish... monochromatic" do you mean you'd like us to use those colors in the actual lines and graphics of the logos, or just have those colors as background colors, with the color white used for the actual logo? Please specify which direction you'd like us all to take.

Hi Jennifer1,

Good question, and I'll clarify; we would prefer to have the lines/graphics in our preferred colour(s), since the majority of usage will be on white background (documentation, letterhead, etc).

We've used the word "monochromatic", and perhaps not correctly. We are open to different shades of the same colour being used in a single concept.

Hope that clears things up!

NOTE: Please discontinue the use of "Judith Wiley" in concepts... in favour of "JW". We won't be using the full name, but the initials are fine.

Thanks!

Hello everyone!

Well, we admit to feeling a bit overwhelmed by the number of candidate designs to look at - thank you all so much for your responsiveness and willingness to respond to our requests.

Upon review and some thought, we have arrived at the conclusion that phase 2 of this contest is about integration, tradition, and consistency. When we look at www.judith-wiley.ca, we believe we will settle on a design that can come along with us as we "evolve" our web and print material over time. So, designs that are rooted in simplicity, clarity, and strength are the ones you see we are ranking higher.

If you are willing, please provide us with a version of your ranked logo(s) in:

1) red/auburn symbol on a white background.

...and

2) white symbol on a #666666 background.

These will well suit our integration into the website and also print material. We understand that colours can be tweaked easily at the end, and are asking for some of that tweaking to happen now so that we can more easily visualize the logo integrated with our current work.

We are focused on: integration, tradition, and consistency... and leaning toward logos that are simple, clear, and strong.

Many thanks!
