Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

1st place - 50 points
2nd place - 20 points
3rd place - 10 points
4-6th place - 5 points
7-10 place - 3 points
10th on - 1 point

I like that you used a horse and person together in #5. I would try to make more of an emotional connection between the two. Please take a look at the link to our facebook page Hope Reins of Raleigh. I really love the photo of the girl with her head on the horses forehead - the feeling this photo gives me is one of letting go, like she is relieved and feels safe - she can be herself and let her guard down. You can see the emotional connection they are having.

The other logo options are too generic - We are looking for something that clearly communicates "horses" in the image.

Thank you!!

One more bit of feedback. For logo#5 I'd like something simpler - there is a lot of activity going on with this logo...thanks.

Sorry if I overused the "uninterested" this is my first time. I really like the direction of the #6 & #7 as it connections the horse and child. You do not have to literally take the picture I referenced and make it the logo but I like the direction. I wanted you to see what I meant as far as the connection between the horse and child. Is it possible to define the girl a little more in #6?

Great stuff. Thanks!

I found a few other websites to give you - these are similar organizations in other parts of the USA. The main group we are modeling our program after is www.crystalpeaksyouthranch.org - you can click on about us/photo gallery to see many pictures or horse and child - how their program works. And I like these two logo designs and how they incorporate both child and horse www.sonriseequestrianfoundation.org AND www.horizonyouthranch.org.

Just some ideas to give more direction.
Thanks!

I like these for sure as starters but please continue to offer new ideas. I would love to see something either gender neutral or less feminine. The logo will be on t-shirts and other items and we want it to appeal to boys and girls - both genders will be a part of our program.

Thank you!

These are all great ideas. I like the simplicity of #13 and #16 a lot. Want to just define them a little more. Please feel free to come up with something totally different and continue to offer new ideas! See comments too about looking at the crystal peaks website for photos and the other two programs...I like their logos too.

Thanks

Hi. I really like the new posts. Love #26 and the "woodish" type feel to it since we are going to be a barn/farm. I asked Kib to make the ends of her hair less sharp. Love that silhouette feel to it.

I love what you all are submitting. I would appreciate it if you could explore some ideas that are less elegant and maybe more wimsical - not too wimsical or cartoonish - what I want someone to see with this logo is emotion, trust, and joy. There has been sorrow for these children, they have experienced pain, but through this horse they can now find joy - maybe approach it more from the heart of a child?

Hope that helps. Would love to see more options!!

Thank you for all your hard work.

I like how you all have incorporated the horse and child. I would be interested to see some other ideas. What about something that incorporates the "reins" - the child is taking the reins of their own healing. Maybe a horse with bridle and the child is holding the reins or riding?

Thanks for your hard work.

Love this new direction. I am very open to new ideas. I like how he incorporated the "reins" into the graphic. I asked him to please make the person more like a "child" versus a man. So child leading the horse and put them just a little closer together - like the horse is following closer behind.

Please continue to offer new options.

I love it and appreciate all your talent.

Love these new ideas. Please continue to think outside of what you have seen. I would still really like to see something that incorporates the "reins" child holding the reins or taking the reins of their healing. Reins is in our name so it would be cool to see what you can come up with utilizing the reins.

I like these new designs. I would still like to see something that incorporates "reins" child holding reins. I left some individual feedback for everyone but one comment is that please make sure the horse's ears are pointing forward - pinned back or cocked ears can mean a horse is confused or angry.

I like the horse shoe connection - that is a new element! But want to keep it clean and simple.

Thanks

A little more feedback I like #52 and how the child is reaching out to the horse. Maybe changing the angles a little bit so the girl and horse are hugging.

Thanks

One more idea to look at check out this Willow Tree Figurine called "Quiet Strength" - I LOVE the interaction here with the horse and child how they are embracing. See http://www.unionhospitalgiftshop.com/onlinestore/store/item_view.asp?estore_itemid=1000027 or you can google "Willow Tree figurine Quiet Strength".

Thanks

I love the movement in #75 - requested a different color background and try to make the child a different color than white.

Thanks

You all have submitted such amazing options for logos. I've decided to extend 2 days to give us a little more time to tweek. I am still open to new ideas too so please submit them.

What I like about top ranked logos are the emotional connection between the child and horse - love the movement of #1. I love the hugging in #2.

Thanks and I look forward to some updates and new ideas! You guys all rock!!
