Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

1st place - 50 points
2nd place - 20 points
3rd place - 10 points
4-6th place - 5 points
7-10 place - 3 points
10th on - 1 point

A summary of the responses we've given to various designs:

1) for our color palette, we are interested in logos combining the green side along with black/grays; we're saving the yellow/orange side of the palette for action items (buttons, links, alerts, etc.).
2) we like stronger typefaces that will stand up well to being used at a variety of sizes - and even potentially in gray-scale on letterhead/envelopes/etc.
3) we like the small 'driver' elements (the green light, steering wheel) as long as they're simple and stand up to the conditions we're anticipating in #2 above.

Late breaking feedback from some of our staff: although *I* personally like an all-lowercase logo, there was some concern that people could read "godriver" as "god river - even if the GO and the DRIVER are colored differently" - so GoDriver is the preferred capitalization.

We have met to really focus down on the designs we like - picking just the favorite logo from each Designer - eliminating all variations on themes (although some designers had two or more strong themes, in which case we kept the best design from each theme).

We ranked the logos ourselves, then did a fast reaction test with half a dozen teenagers who will eventually be our target audience. The final order of logos reflects our combined feedback.

We love the "mostly-green-with-black-for-emphasis" logos - as did our Teen Test Group. Every logo chosen has at least one "driving-inspired" design element - also something we found we all like.

Further feedback on the logos with strong black emphasis around the outside: we felt these logos would hold up best at a variety of sizes on both screen and on paper - and would translate well to gray-scale if necessary as well.

Thank you all for your entries - we have chosen the seven logos we are most happy with (above) and have randomlzed their order. We are going to be sending feedback to these 7 entrants individually and make our final choice by tomorrow (Wednesday) at 13:00 Eastern Standard Time (1pm NY time).

Please do not send additional entries - we accidentally extended this contest 7 days, but meant to extend it to 1pm tomorrow (only). Thanks again - LogoTournament has been a great experience for us and we've already recommended it to several friends.
