See 1st attachment for current colors. They are not married to them. Nothing too saturated (to keep w/ the vintage theme).
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Client is looking an overhaul of their current logo (see first attachment)

Motorcycle repair and sales, focusing on 60s and 70s bikes.
Think Cafe Racers, BMWs, Hondas and Triumphs.

They don't want TOO much of a departure from their current. Namely the helmet and handlebars. They aren't married to the colors either. They'd like to make sure it conveys the look of that era.

The motorcycle 'badge' look is probably a good shape for the logo overall.
Let me know if you have any questions!

1st Example is of the current image used, Text is not currently incorporated into pictography well.
2nd image is reference for the right feel of era, doesnt have to match style/complexity however.

Love the idea of the tire encircling. 3/4s helmet or half helm and goggles work better for the era than the full helm we've been using.

I'd be interested in incorporating the name into the logo to keep it looking like a badge.
Thanks!

Doesn't HAVE to use the encircling tire though! Don't let that restrict you!

Client would like everything more simple (including everything on top of the rank)! Flatter shapes, no gradients, avoid fine details. Thanks!

Looking good. Some nice new concepts but they need to be simplified quite a bit too! Thanks All!

The last thing I want to do is waste anyones time here. Client has told me, while he loves the designs he wants something even closer to home.
Seems like he's just looking for an updated version of their current logo w/ some of the elements i've already mentioned (half or 3/4 helm, maybe goggles). So, while I loved them, I'm tossing out all the designs that aren't very close to the starting logo.
Honestly, the best bet might be just to redraw the current logo we have and incorporate the company name w/ quality typography.
Thank you for everyones work so far!

I've been doing a lot of rapid fire comments. I just wanted to let you all know you are amazing at what you do, it's been inspirational seeing everyones work and you all deserve way more money than what we've been able to make the pot for this. Regardless of the clients decision you are all great designers. Thank you for your work!
