FireUP CompanyLogo Design Contest

I think this shape and concept is fantastic. Only notes I could come up with for refinement are:
- The goggles leave a small gap on their lower left and right sides, I'd like to have that resolved some how. Overall they may not be perfectly centered to the helmet (at least on this rendering)
- I'd be interested if a version w/ black type would work, without the black backdrop. or maybe a more squared backdrop rather than rounded bottom.

Bumping #75 off for this, b&w version.

Same reason as other - need headlight on top for focus.

Removing - the other version gives more attention to the headlight, which i think is important.

Also, I like the font choice, I think there's a good opportunity - if the rest is simplified more, to use a thick scripted font for 'fireup'.
Separate thought, the 'gear' element is overpowering the rest of the visuals in this design. I'd prefer to see it as a simple 'badge' shape, or a tire shape - if it can be done very simply.

This design was mentioned as tied for closest to what they're looking for. If there is a way to make it less 'heavy' overall, and bring a big more of the original logo back into it, we're on the right track!. Perhaps an alternate to the emblem thats on the helmet, that adds a bit of, perhaps, unnecessary complexity.
