Color Preferences
Here are some ideas, but I look to your designer expertise:
Turquoise water (RGB 10/208/238)
Orange sunset (RGB 255/153/0)
Could incorporate Green (lush vegetation RGB 55/186/41 or 0/200/130 ) and Purple (RGB 153/0/254)
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The logo should convey ESCAPISM - "To seek distraction and relief from reality or routine through a pleasurable diversion". Perhaps inclusion of a hectic/busy component blending into a calm/peaceful element. Logo must also definitely include a travel element - movement - but no traditional airplanes or cruise ships or suitcases!! Overall an ABSTRACT refined / elegant / simple / upscale design. Attached are some rough initial ideas as a starting point. The photo for our avatar (Maldives) and an inspirational image (Maroma) are also attached.

Another consideration is that the logo will need to translate well to grey scale or b&w for use on some mailings that don't support color. So the logo ideas should be maintained in a b&w image.

I should have added that our preference is for an in-line logo with text to the right of the graphic, rather than square with the text below the logo. Something that works well as a header on a web page or on a mobile screen.

A huge thank-you to everyone who participated!! Some amazing designs from some very creative individuals. I am so impressed with everyone's work. It was a VERY difficult final choice, and I had to rely to a large extent on the survey results. The survey participants had some very interesting perspectives on the designs. Ultimately the customers are the ones that need to be attracted by the logo, so in the end I had to defer to their suggestions.
