#1 - Thank you for your entry. I like the cleanness and simplicity of this entry as well as the symbolism of the oranda fish inside. I had in mind a redcap on the fish, but this is growing on me. I wonder what it would like with a hint of red for the cap? What other clean font can be used underneath? lower case? I was thinking something with more roundedness. Can you submit it with the words: 'Oranda Certified' underneath instead for me to take a look? Thanks again and keep submitting! Can I see one with purple instead of green?

Also, this looks familiar. Does anyone else have a logo like this?

#2 and 3; Nice effort. The fish is too cartoony. I was thinking more of an outline of the fish like a silhouette: no eyes or outline of fins, etc. The colors need more brightness to them and hues (I think that is the correct term) should complement. Simplicity is key. Thanks and keep submitting!

#4 and 5 - Another great entry! For the fish, I was thinking more of a silhouette with simple lines. This seems a little busy. How about leaving out the Engage! Empower! Evolve!? and wrapping "Oranda Certified" around? Thanks - keep trying!

#7 Thanks - this is also interesting and intriguing to the eye. I'd like to see it again with smaller font underneath, and with "ORANDA CERTIFIED" instead of "Oranda TLC." Thanks and keep submitting.

#6 Thanks - I like the motion in this. However, the center reminds me of an eye that I find 'scary'. Keep trying!

#8 Thanks for submitting this. I like the movement of the fish circling. I'd like to see it without the fish 'eyes' and also with a slight spelling edit: Oranda TLC in a different color than black. Thanks for playing and keep submitting!

I hope my comments are not stiffling your creativity! It's the layman in me! Please 'bring it on!'

Striving for a fish (or part of a fish) that when one looks at the logo the fish doesn't scream "I'm a fish!" Subtle and abstract. Entries 1, 16 and 17th are examples of this. Entry 25 is getting there! Go creative geniuses go!

I'm just so enthusiastic about this. It is my first logo. After speakng with a friend, she suggested I steer the contest back to the name of the organization which is "Oranda TLC". I also will need an emblem with Oranda Certification for the teachers and schools that go through my certification process. Chicken or the egg? Which one comes first? So, as a winner of the contest, I'll have some additional work! :)

If it makes sense artistically to spell out TLC as Teaching Learning Certification DO IT! Kudos to my contestants who have been so responsive to my comments!

This logo: Oranda TLC or Oranda Teaching Learning and Certification will go on my business card. It will need to be readable too. Thanks for understanding!

That the symbol will be used not only for my web site, business cards, etc., BUT will also be used as a symbol of excellence, quality, pride and communicates "this is a place where learners thrive." Teachers and schools will have to earn this symbol through a rigorous process.

Contest winner will have additional work in creating the "Oranda Certified" version that these teachers and schools earn.

I've been out all day, internet connection problems, many comments to make, so, I extended the contest and we have 48 more hours! There are no more extensions allowed, however.

As you will notice, my preferences for black "oranda" and grey "teaching learning certification" with centered dots between the words. My other preferences are for the colors, please take note. Finally, please note examples of the fonts and boldness of the words. I would like the eye's attention to be to the symbol.
