What We Do
My company installs burglar alarms and surveilance cameras, hidden or not hidden.

Color Preferences
Robin's egg blue like Tiffany is cool. Organic natural looking greens are good. Deep purple seems relevant. I also like black. Don't have to stick to just one color, maybe even getting all 4 would be best. Not a necessity though. Make it as simple or complex as you feel like would work best to convey the essence of what the company does.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
No octogons!!! I'm serious, everyone in security has a stupid octogon. Making the letters of the name into the shape of a security camera is something I thought might be clever, but I'm not married to that idea at all. Something that says security and protection.
I think I'll tend to favor rounded softer corners than sharp edges. For example the YouTube and skype logos look almost soft to touch. Also that colorful thing next to Fortis looks pretty cool. Something like that is my style, like if you fell on the logo you'd be ok.
Think spy cameras - computer networks - defensive alarms - safety - space-age alien technology - circuit boards - glowing LED lights - teddy bears - ice cream. (not as much the last two)

Can't wait to see some ideas. Email me direct if you want to talk about something before spending time drawing. I'm going to be paying close attention. dan@covertsecuritysystems.net
Thanks artists!
additional note - color fading is a plus - like in these for example https://logotournament.com/contests/eric_harr_social_media/by/bluejet
the way the edges are soft and the colors fade is a good idea of the direction to go.

Wow! Thank you for your designs so fast. We are definitely on the right track here.
#14 barubelajar- love the negative space C. Let's try one w/o the LLC. Thinking about a slightly thicker fatter font with a little lighter green and a slightly deeper purple on the C. This one is great!
#9 brendan - love the blue color on the font. Like the idea of the O being something. Not sure if that's a camera lens or a button. Either idea would probably work. Can we try putting some color into the O object? I was thinking if the O object was a light leafy green and the whole thing had a black background it might look pretty tough. (Can you guys change background colors?) That font color is exactly the tiffany's blue I was talking about in the brief. :)
#6 n joy - Looks more on the corporate side. I like it, it looks very professional. I also like how the font boldness changes. Stick with that for sure. Let's try putting some of the colors I had mentioned in the brief into that text. And the thing I mentioned about the S in the email as well please. Thanks!

Everyone please look to the top 4 ranked for the direction I would like to go in. Those are looking more and more like what I had imagined. Please look at the text in Brendan's #9 for the color I'd like to see in the winner's logo. And I'm thinking that I'll probably not be including the LLC in the logo, so we might as well forget about that.
Thanks again artists!

Everyone please look to #48 #66 #33 #68 for the shape and overall style to shoot for.
Thanks for all these entries, they're great!
Something else to keep in mind please is that we're in the high tech electronics and video surveilance field. The logo should try to demonstrate that with or without the text being present. Electrical circuits have that effect - for one example.

Some notes for everyone:
Thanks first of all, these are all really cool.
Just a few guidelines as we move forward...
I seem to be favoring designs where the picture is to the left of the text and the picture has colors. The text should be easily readable but not so bold as to be "loud". I also am tending to favor the "Covert" text having the C being larger than the rest, as it is in #48. The "security" can be all the same size. Remember we do covert cameras, so we are more on the discreet side. The text that has been looking best to me so far has been a black covert and a grey security. Look to #33 for an example of proportions.
Most importantly, the picture by itself needs to say electronics and technology without the aid of the text. #79 is a perfect example of this. The winner will accomplish that feeling AND hopefully somehow incorporate the CS initials and colors into the picture as well.
Thanks artists!

ok, everyone please pay attention to #97 #98 #99. These have what I'm looking for. A soft looking object with electrical circuits that form the initials C and S, and colors within while the text is black and grey. A heavy presence of that light blue color in the picture. These aspects are what the winning design will most likely have.
Thanks for everyone's entries! There are so many! :)
