Our Target Audience:

65% female, 35% male, Families with children, Grandparents, active and marginally active Catholics who are looking for a gift for a Catholic religious event. They value, family, faith, identity as Catholics. Primarily Anglo, American, middle to upper middle class, mostly college educated, online shoppers.

Color Preferences

Blue, White background, sparing use of accent color, perhaps golden yellow, grey or black. If including golden yellow check out papal flag color for a baseline on the yellow. Open to warm inviting colors.

This contest is for a gift store not a church. Even if you are unsure if you get "Catholic" you certainly understand "Gift" .

We know that there are many designers out there capable of capturing the joy, spontaneity and fun of a great gift. We provide items that tie into memorable events for growing families, starting with new babies on through weddings.

We are open to a lot of creative options

We are liking a number of the ideas, a couple of points for all designers
-Colors seem muted and washed out in a number of entries. Don't be afraid to use stronger color.
-Keep the designs on a white background. We can do the color background post judging
-Many of the designs appear flat. Little shading or depth in either font or graphic elements. I know more could be done there
This contest is certainly not over yet.

Wow, Wow, Wow. I went to a board meeting and bam! creativity poured out. We are extending the contest 2 days not for any new designers but to give us time to provide feedback on the designers and designs that poured in over the last 8 hours.

If you have already submitted a design. watch for feedback. We will let you know if we need refinement of a current submission.

Thanks to all of you for making this so difficult to sort out. What a talented lot of folks.

We had a key player ill today but we will work out ranking and providing feedback for designers this evening (Wednesday) Sorry I have not been able to get feedback to everyone today. Be relaxed on the current sort order, we have not discussed most of the new designs from yesterday yet.
