I posted the bridge as a reference but am looking for something that is an abstract taken through inspiration from the picture. I am looking for a WOW factor. 14 years ago garmitage Client Looking for something a bit more "web 2.0" but not bubbly. 14 years ago garmitage Client Would like to go away from the green and have a color pallet more metallic (chrome/aluminum) and purple with the same 3d effects, almost like the same purple blue light in the attached photo was shining on the logo. Also some more abstractions of a bridge that represent strength, bleeding edge technology, and creativity. If it helps at all we are a company centered around a consortium of companies. Also, we are very progressive. One example of this is we have already implemented iPads to our sales force because it is the latest technology, its sexy and it sends a message to our clients about who we are. We want to leave that same type of impression through our logo. Please let me know if you have any questions because I'm sure I'm not doing a great job with my description. Thanks so much for all the work thus far. Gregg 14 years ago garmitage Client Id like to see some that are not so iphone app icon looking for the symbol. I'm not envisioning a button style logo but rater a large dramatic symbol. I like the direction the bridge abstractions are going and I'm liking the new fonts and color choices but would like to see more metal with the purple and a more strong and dramatic feel. 14 years ago garmitage Client I'm digging the blues and the dark blues over the purples. #21 I like your minimalist approach to the Company name. #1 the idea of an actual bridge is growing on me while maybe not quite in that format and but #13 I think you were the first to realize that the Zakim bridge in fact forms an 'A' when looked at from certain angles (brilliant). I think perhaps a LITTLE bit more real approach to the bridge and a LITTLE bit less abstract would be the way to go while still utilizing the metallic and blues for the bridge part and a minimalist font for the words as listed above. #26 and #27 I like your color pallet choices. Sorry to be all over the place but these are all so great and its giving me all kinds of ideas I hadn't thought of. The truth is that many of these I could see on my business card but I know someone is going to to literally make my year and give me that WOW moment. I can't wait for that! You guys rock! I know I will be giving a lot of recommendations to people I know at the end of this tournament Thanks so much. 14 years ago garmitage Client Hi Everyone,I really like the direction that these designs are going. So far I really feel like the leading designs are capturing the idea of being cool and fresh. What I would like to see reflect more is strength. Perhaps if I share my company vision it would help. Through Avenue Bridge's products and service offering my vision is to become the WORLD LEADER in human capital management software services. Tall order right? Absolutely it is, but you should see our products services;-)!! Avenue Bridge is truly disruptive and an industry changer with the potential to go big...REAL BIG. For that reason we want to dress for the occasion meaning we want our logo to leave an impression that we already are a market leader. #52 you exemplify cool and fresh and sexy which is very important to us. #49 and #21 yours are the closest to looking like part of the "new school" of fortune 500 companies. I hope this helps and I am sooo excited with what I am seeing. 14 years ago garmitage Client Wow, its getting harder and harder to rate these and there are so many wonderful and unique designs. #132 you are on the top for a couple of reasons. I see a lot of strength here and the bridge tower even looks to be on top of the world. There is also just enough abstraction although possibly there is room for just a little more. One thing that I noticed with the lines coming together on a single tower which in some ways is very much what Avenue Bridge is about. We facilitate a two sided network through technology and have many different "lines" coming into us from both sides. I didn't mention anything about this but you got lucky and there is real meaning here. #91, yours is still the most modern yet elegant and timeless and it just works. #119 I love the simplicity of yours yet it commands a presence. I think it could use a little more something, perhaps color on the lettering.I know I haven't rated everything yet and to be honest I am having a really hard time doing so. It seems every hour my taste changes just a bit. So far I will say there is NO real clear front runner and a lot of you are very "neck and neck". I most likely will not rate logos which are variations of another one. Two more days to go and I am already beyond my expectations by a long shot. I can see so many of these on my business cards already. The hardest part is going to be choosing one. Thank you everyone and I can't wait to see what comes out next. Gregg 14 years ago garmitage Client Hi Everyone,I am really impressed with what I am seeing in the final hours however I thought I would speak to the group regarding #162 and #167 which are still among my favorites. As far as the ranking goes #162 still has a slight edge but #167 possesses some qualities that I think are genius and wanted to share as well . I like the message that #162 says more then anyone (top of the world, structure holding two sides together, etc.). What attracts me to #167 is strictly a style thing. Its very minimal therefore very modern. Where as #162 is speaking directly to my mission #167 to me says a lot as well with very little needed to do so . #176 I think is on the right track with that I am saying but something is missing from the formula. What I am giving are some guidelines but I trust your interpretive guidance as well (the top designs were born out of the designers minds not mine). I want to reflect modernism, cutting edge, power and differentiation. So far #162 and #167 are the closest to representing power, modernism and differentiation. The ultimate message would be for some to see our logo and say "tell me more about this company" . As a company Avenue Bridge is a consortium and our power is directly dictated by the companies we represent. I hope this helps but please reach out to me with questions and comments and consider me a part of your team. When I started this contest I was not expecting the levels of design that I am seeing. You are all WAY above my expectations and really any one of the top 20 could have a place on my business card. I love to see those that have been participating for the life of the contest that continue to up the game and I would be surprised now to see something come through that absolutely stands out among the rest. I'm hoping not to have to extend the contract and its looking like I won't have to if this momentum keeps up so keep sending in your genius representations of my company and I'll do my best to provide quick feedbackThanks everyone,Gregg 14 years ago garmitage Client For all designers that are currently in the top 1O, if you haven't already done so please submit your inverted representation so that I can see the versatility of the design. How this logo will look on darker surfaces will hold merit to my final decision. 14 years ago garmitage Client I was giving a presentation today and I drew something signifying what we do in terms of the name and a symbol emerged. I'm attaching it now. It may be crap but i'm not a designer:-) Maybe there could be something useful in my crappy drawing. More specifically when I was presenting I drew the two parallel lines while I mentioned that we are the only road [avenue] needed to access vendors followed by the arch on top signifying that we bridge the companies and vendors together in a controlled environment. Again don't take this literally, my drawing is CRAP!! But it could be some inspiration. 14 years ago garmitage Client Hi Everyone,I accidentally extended the contest for 5 days instead of 2 (easily distracted). I wanted to get an extra two days to give artist a chance to refine some of their designs but I still want to have this wrapped up by mid week. I sent a note to logotournament to ask them to switch the end time but if they don't I will be "ending the contest early" on Thursday morning EST. Thanks and sorry for the confusion.Gregg 14 years ago garmitage Client Ok, so we've had a slight changing of the guard and I have to say that #167, #215, and #199 are tied for me. I think based on the top 5 there is an emerging style that I have found best represents my company. I'll have to meditate on these for a bit but I have allowed 2 more days left in the contest so that I can be sure. I guess you are all TOO good! Thanks and good luck with the final days, its completely up for grabs at this point. All the best,Gregg 14 years ago garmitage Client Hi Everyone,Its been a while since I posted here, my apologies for that. You have all kept me very busy and you may have noticed a style shift in the top ten... once again! I wanted to take a minute to explain the changing of the guard here. Hopefully it will help.in direction of style like #302 because there is a level of flow associated with it (like following the energy of a wave). Also my company is a consortium and facilitate two sides of a network. Logotournament has been an amazing experience for me and has taken me on a journey in which i am forced to think about the meaning of my company. This is the reason for my change of perspective from the tangible (a bridge) to the in tangible (meaning). So to tell you more about what I mean by "meaning" I have a couple of outlines about my company and myself.1) We are a software company that facilitates a two sided network2) We are a huge jump forward in innovation for our industry3) Are company is disruptive to our industry by increasing transparency and leverage for which there currently is little .4) We are committed to the small and mid sized business as our customers, these are the companies of tomorrow that desperately need a more even playing field to compete with the larger and more established companies. By advocating small and mid sized business we believe we are advocating innovation and the act of moving forward as a whole. 5)We believe in spirituality in business - not religion, spirituality meaning that all things are equal and should be treat so and that there is a natural balance in the world that is constant and cannot be changed. (kind of Buddha like but independent from any sect of faith. #302 is a direct representation of balance. I hope this may help in any final concepts you'd like to put forward. Given the shift I will be keeping the contest open and will not be ending early. Thank you so much for everything. I am humbled to be surrounded by so much talent. Gregg 14 years ago garmitage Client I want to thank everyone who participated in this contest. My expectations were completely blown away and the talent in this group is amazing!!! You have all given me so many good submissions it is going to be quite a challenge to narrow down to just one. Currently I am gathering the feedback from staff and trusted advisors and will be making a decision by no later then Friday. Just to let everyone know, Avenue Bridge will be launching another contest in a month for the software that we are developing. I have no reservations about trusting my corporate identity in the hands of Logotournament. This has truly been a pleasure. Thanks everyone and i'll be in touch over the next few days if I need further clarification. Gregg 14 years ago garmitage Client Thank you everyone for your amazing participation and wonderful submissions . After careful deliberation, we have selected #267 as our winner. At the end we were very impressed with the strength yet simplicity of all of the designs however #267 had simplicity while still sending a strong message which was unmatched. Also, we feel this particular minimalist design will allow us maximum flexibility should our business model evolve over time.I realize that I asked a lot of many of you and I am so thankful for the work that you put into this contest. Your dedication and effort showed through in your designs, many of which were some of the best examples of corporate identity I have every seen. Please know that this decision has been painstaking and any one of these logos could have made us extremely happy. My only regret is that 2nd and 3rd place cannot have multiple submissions because I think that there are at least 6 final contenders that should deserve recognition. Thank you everyone,Gregg 14 years ago
