Hello, just wondering: when you mention it should be "refreshing, modern, state-of-the-art," what exactly do you mean? How do you define these qualities? Are there products (in any industry) you've seen that have logos that match up with your idea of these qualities? Please elaborate for all of us.

Regarding Jennifer1's questions: "Refreshing, modern, and state-of-the-art" refer to the old Agriland logo vs. the new. I think a good example would be Apple. For it's industry I think it fits those qualities comparing it's previous logos to it's current. I've been somewhat vague because we don't have something specific in mind and in fear of your creative ideas being avoided because of too much direction.

Another characteristic of Apple's logo that I like is it's simplicity. While I don't imagine our logo becoming one solid shape and one color, I think there is a value to simplicity.

#92 does a good job at capturing the refreshing, modern, state-of-the-art feel I'm looking for. With that said, it veers a little too far from the original logo. I think we need the tree to be above the letters. I don't really like the "A" either. I like the fuller tree in the #99 logo. Our trees shouldn't look like pine trees (triangular). In #99 there are more, smaller triangles and it gives it a fuller and rounder look while maintaining the concept of the old logo.

Dropping "farming company" is an option to which we are open as well.

We do want our log to stand out more than it does. We want the font or word art to be modern but not futuristic.

I just changed the rankings. I've given a few of you some ideas of what I think would make your logo better in our eyes. I wanted to keep several of you in so I changed the rankings to keep you in, but our real rankings are the folowing: 100, 99, 130, 131, 141, 135, 149

Deleting "Farming Company" seems to be a poplar idea with our committee.

Also using a lower case "L" seems to also be a popular idea.

Once again, completely different colors seems to be an idea that could work (reds, blues, greens, yellows, black, gray.

Also some shine can give the refreshing and new look but not too much and not the bubble look.

We also want a more modern font than our old font but not futuristic.

PMS numbers for our current logo are

Yellow: 108
Green: 354

We want you to try different colors as I mentioned but if you want to use the same green and yellow, I thought I'd provide those numbers.
