What We Do
We are looking to create a logo to represent the Town of Harvard, MA's Climate Action Initiative, which starts with the development of a climate action and resilience plan.

Harvard as a community recognizes the need to prepare our town for the consequences of climate change. To ensure our bountiful farms and tight-knit community will continue to thrive for generations to come, we need to work together to protect and preserve our town and all of its important assets. That’s why we created Harvard’s Climate Initiative, the Town’s Climate Action and Resilience Plan. This plan is a roadmap for Harvard’s future prosperity to ensure that we emerge from climate change stronger together. With Harvard’s Climate Initiative, Harvard will persevere.

Our Ideas & Additional Information
Harvard is a quaint, rural community set west of Boston. Our community is drawn here for the character of the town, the farmland, and the school system. Overall, our community is highly educated and is now starting to take action to address climate change and to protect all the assets that make Harvard unique.
This logo is for our Climate Action Initiative and for this we want to see something that references moving forward, thinking about the future- we like the idea of a winding road.
The landscape could be a good way to show the balance of the classic vs. the modern of the town.
We do have a lot of stone walls which would be interesting to integrate into the design in some way.

We do have a second contest going by another different but related group in Town- Harvard Grown (contest) We would like to be complementary to that design (which should be finalized within the week) but not duplicative in any way.
We are working on getting more photos for you- but in the meantime, here is a link to the Town website so you can get a feel for the Town: https://www.harvard.ma.us/

Also, just attached a PPT of some other logos in town.

Our client was very interested in the simple yet abstract accent consulting logo example that they selected above. We would love to see any thoughts on how to show us moving forward in a more abstract way. Our client wants to see movements, not a traditional static logo.

Greetings All, we are seeing that this contest is not as active as some of our others have been in the past, please feel free to share any suggestions on areas you would like to have more guidance or direction from us... or if it is simply that the name is a tough one... any input is greatly appreciated! We are working with a client and will do our best to respond effectively.

Hi there, to expand on what we said earlier about movement and moving forward. We would love the focus of the logos to shift more on the "initiative" and "movement towards change" and the "commit. act. thrive.". We want to show that this a community taking proactive initiative -- starting with a commitment then moving to action and ultimately thriving. It's the progress, the forward motion. We don't want the tagline to overpower the name, but we want to run more with this as the theme. A quick idea could include blending in an arrow to the name or through the tagline showing that one leads to the other, this is just an example, and we really would like to see what you come up with.
