Discussion

Thank you so much for your posts! First off, I'd like to convey that DYNAMICFILM is one word, so a color or type variation between the two words won't be an effective solution for this design. Also, while a lot of different looks can be cool with a gradient, the design would need to stand on it's own without a gradient, so feel free to use it, just don't rely on it as a device to sell the design. Hope this helps, we also need an emblem incorporated, not film related either unless it's not on the nose. The emblem can be a different type of symbol though referring to power, an animal of sorts, something "made in america" could be interesting also... or anything else that comes to mind. Whatever it is, I'll be using it for a good 20 years or so, I really want to fall in love with it. Good luck and thanks again. BC

Hi Guys,

Thank you for your hard work. Looks of fun approaches!

I'm not really seeing any emblems, just a bunch of type treatments so far. Can we focus on the emblem a lot more than the type please? Something power related, an animal, a bird, weather... and less arrows. Specific comments to follow.

Thank you so much!

Oh.. based on the client guidelines below, I'm not supposed to post specific feedback here. I'm going to let you guys think it out again, just remember:

DYNAMICFILM is one word, should feel that way.
No arrows, more emblems please. Previous note mentioned a direction you can go as far as emblems.

Here's another design idea... mix art and science maybe? Like Leonardo Da Vinci's Virtruvian Man.... not too detailed though, keep it simple.

Great job guys, lots of cool stuff coming in. I'd love to get to a really strong symbol, something that conveys a story. Thanks!

The main symbol should not be the letter "D" in any form. Thanks!

Storytelling is key. That's what we do, we need our symbol to convey a story, something unique. I want you to convey that we make stories that work for people in ways they never have before. Please look at the logos I am currently ranking higher and see if you can get a sense of what I'm talking about. If so, how can you tell a better story? Thank you. BC

An Eagle, a Bear, an Owl ... or some other type of symbol. Space, DNA, Atom... It has to have a story though. The competition is getting tight, but I think there are tons of breakthroughs coming very soon.

Let's do more stuff where the symbol interacts with the letters if possible. Any type of readable story is best.

Great job guys! it's getting really competitive... a lot of good thinking going into this one.

Getting close to the end. Great job so far!

okay. let's go back to the original font. you had it better. What I want to do is flip the orions belt and dagger image upside down, and hide it in the image. you may have to adjust the surrounding stars a bit. also, adjust the nose to the left a little. Please look at the .psd file and you'll see how to line everything up. this will be perfect.
