What story is it telling? If I printed it out and throw the piece of paper in the trash, I should be able to read the story between the time it leave my hands and the time it hits the trash. No gradient on the type please. Very unique, but I can't get a sense of story at all out of it. ....YET No film still, theres no heart to it.
We're filmmakers and storytellers... As long as there is a story in the design, that will communicate that we know what we're doing in filmmaking as well. The story is up to you... once I see something I respond to, I'll help guide you in the right direction.
Love the fire... can we try variations on that? mainly simpler? might add smoke at some point but the fire is very simple, way cool... very old form of storytelling.
Thank you for the feedback, I'll work on that as soon as I get home. Thought that fire also has that Dynamic element element. I know I can work this concept till it is one you'll love.
Our main problem is that yours is familiar. I feel my guys are going to vote against it for that reason. Feels like something I've seen before... but it is cool. I think it's simple and very clean. Who knows how it will stack up in the end. I'm really digging #1 right now, plus he comes with a ton of other designs I can use on my site. You might want to dig back into that bag of tricks. Not sure yet.
I don't recall another being similar. I do get that from some of the other entries. I had thought of cave drawings but thought it would look too historic. Stars, think of Orion.
Alright bro. You're up. Robot dog, robot bear, eagle... need some options. So far, your design is getting some good feedback, but so are others. Good luck!
Thank you. do you want to see more animals are just variations of coloring on the dog? I really appreciate all the help and opportunity to work with you and your team
I think the positioning of the dog is strong... just variations in how it reads would be fun. all metal, all transparaencies, some transparancies... some metal, a patch of fur... variations. thanks!
#339 can have the same type as the other one. I like the paper and paperclip... would like to think about something other than a paperclip though. A marker, scissors? any ideas?
Since all logos on LT are vector I will have to come up with an inventive way to make texture. In a 3D paint program fur could be just a matter of a couple mouse clicks.
I have you ranked 1st, but this design is still a risk for my company. Right now my instinct is to go for the hummingbird because it's clean, and feels very professional. My favorite is the owl, but no one at the company likes it so I guess I gotta go another route. The reason you're ranked in 1st right now is because I think you're onto something with the dog. Back to story... I want to see this polygonal/ robot dog who wants to be a real dog, like there was an inventor behind the scenes who wanted to make a robot dog that looked like a real dog, but he's not done yet. How we achieve that, I believe, is by keeping the blue outline, adding a metal plate to one section or two (with drill holes like someone physically screwed on those plates, and then another plate or two of teddy bear hair... as if he's being pieced together, section by section. When I speak of plates, I'm referring to your polygonal sides. Not sure if this is possible, but I think it could be cool. Not over the top, just some accents. We might want to address the idea of eyes as well. Real eyes, WALL-E eyes? idk.
If you're willing to give it another shot, I'd love to see where we can take it, but right now it's not the safe bet... I think we can make something that is though.
I ran home during my break to get you something fast, but I can work on it more later if you have additional changes or refinements. I didn't want to keep you waiting but I have to get back to the gym now. I really appreciate this opportunity Kent
I don't know if the space dog is working yet... the constellation Idea is incredible and I'd really love to see where you take that idea. (without a space dog, just 3d dog) it would be the 1st 3d constellation, right?
Sorry, Kent. Work is crazy right now. I'm digging the constelation look. I want to make sure we can still read the dog. Any thoughts? Also, you think we should b=make less pronounced points on the other connector spots, maybe they are smaller stars? Also, should there be some sort of star field around it so we know we're in space or does that make it too busy and mess everything up?
