The Business-Research Match-up is a networking event and a website allowing researchers to connect with businesses and companies to collaborate.

Next year we are holding our annual conference in Brisbane, Australia, on 7-9 March. The conference is titled: The business of innovation 2016. The theme of the conference is the collaboration between business/industry and science. The logo does not necessarily have to include the slogan.

This is our National Conference to be held in Canberra 19-21 May 2015. It is a special occasion as the 25th Anniversary of Cooperative Research Centres in Australia, so we are theming the meeting around looking back and reviewing as well as looking forward another 25 years.

This is a conference to be held in Perth, Australia in May 2014. The logo is to convey a sense of excitement and cooperation.

We are seeking a logo for our 2013 conference. We are the Cooperative Research Centres Association of Australia. We bring together Australia's Cooperative Research Centres, which a "virtual" centres bringing together businesses and government research. They are about collaborative research to achieve outcomes. The theme for our 2013 conference is "Impact through Collaboration". We what to stress that our centres "get things done" - that is, they have an impact. And they doing it by working together over the long haul. The logo needs to include "Melbourne May 15-17".

This competition is for a series of annual awards to be made across various sectors for "The Australian Collaborative Research Awards". The awards recognise that COLLABORATION is a vital ingredient for most innovation. We want to reward the quality of collaboration, as well as the IMPACT of the innovation. By that, we mean that the innovation (and idea/invention) must have been delivered. We are not recognising just research, but research that leads to something. The Australian Collaborative Research Awards are presented by the Cooperative Research Centres Association and a range of sponsors.

Australia conference on collaboration and innovation scheduled for Adelaide may 15 to 17 2012.

This is the three-yearly conference of the Vertebrate Pests Committee, an Australian committee of all governments (plus NZ) dealing with vertebrate pests (dogs, cats, camels, horses, cane toads, donkeys, pigs, feral fish, .....). In 2011 it will be held in Sydney. This logo will be used for advertising the meeting. It might be adapted for future meetings, but we are happy to go with a one-off one to advertise Sydney as the venue. Need to include the dates 20-23 June 2011*****

Blog www.feral.typepad.com This is my more fun public interest stuff on feral animals. The blog has become a bit moire popular lately and I'm looking to pimp it. We have a more serious and science website (www.invasiveanimals.com) where you can understand what we do. I do a lot of public presentations and want to direct the general public to issues on the blog.

Rebranding a charity to aim at wider market. Feral animals cause over $1 billion damage in Australia annually and are (with weeds) second only to habitat loss in their impact on biodiversity. But they are not sexy, because controlling them raises animal welfare/animal rights concerns I've added in "The" to the organisation name - we could do it either way, but using "The" might give more options for giving an identity. I've extended the competition for 2 days becau8se I'm in the field and can't view all the entries. Sorry if I haven't provided feedback to anyone, as the internet connection is dodgy.
