What We Do
Victory Vision is primarily a web design and hosting company providing quality website design for small and medium sized businesses at reasonable prices and with an emphasis on personal customer service.
Industry
Internet
Color Preferences
I am open to seeing different color combinations & possibilities but the logo needs to work on both white and black backgrounds. Blue is so over-used. I'm leaning towards orange/rust, red, and teal colors.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The words "Web Design & Hosting" should be included in a smaller font but must be easily removed. Other non-related services and products are also marketed under the Victory Vision name so the logo needs to be versatile and not specific to Internet services.

NO eyes, or abstract representations of eyes, please.

Both words ("victory" and "vision") should have equal weight (although could be different colors). I like fonts with a little "character" and favor sans serif, modern styles with enough thickness that a 3D look would work as an option.

The name is derived from the message behind the Bible scripture, "Without a vision, the people perish." In the context of Victory Vision Web Design: a clear, defined vision drives success (victory).

Please check comments below to see if I've added any other notes for consideration or links that show what I like. The contest isn't over until the clock runs out, so don't think I've settled on something just because it's ranked #1. I'm open to ideas until the end!

Discussion

Thanks to everyone for the submissions so far. We're off to a fairly good start. I'm tending to like designs with crisp, clean lines and that show depth with gradients and shadows such as in #6 and #10. I like the font used in #6 the best so far, though it could be a little thicker. I like seeing different color combinations since I'm not set on a color scheme yet. Keep the ideas coming!

I'm liking the latest submissions. I'll rank them and then leave general comments here and more specific comments under each designer. Thanks!

First, I want to let everyone know that I appreciate seeing different versions and colors of similar designs. To help me keep things sorted, though, I'm going to keep and rank my favorites of each concept and put the rest in the "Not Interested" bin.

Color: Let's eliminate green as an option. I'd like to see some designs in a deep orange, burnt orange or rust color.

Font: My favorite so far is the one used in #29. Would still like to see other options that are similar but maybe have a bit more "character" -- i.e. slanted ends like the one used here: https://logotournament.com/contests/zvelo/by/illumina . I prefer the "V" to have a sharp point at the bottom (or the "illusion" of sharp points like in #6). I also prefer all uppercase.

Graphic: I'm not sure yet if I like the graphical element to be above the name or to the left of it, so keep showing both options.

I don't want to get stuck on this thought, but if anyone has any ideas on how a simplistic or abstract image of a dove can be used in the design, I'd like to see what you can come up with (something like this shape: http://www.glass-fusing-made-easy.com/images/dove-of-peace-pattern.jpg). I may use a tagline such as "Spirit Led Design" or "Spirited Design" (separate from the logo).

Color: lets eliminate blue as a color. I'd like to see more reds, oranges, and maybe even purple.

Keep the ideas coming. I'm far from settled on the top 3 yet.

I'd like to see some ideas in a wordmark or web 2.0 logo style

Color: I've decided I'd like to see some options in a teal color, like entry #45. Maybe orange and teal together?

Still open to other ideas/concepts.

Just to let you all know, I'm trying to keep at least one of each concept in the mix so that you at least get a point for your effort. It's getting difficult to rank them after 10, however, so after about the 15th position or so I'm not going to rank a specific position.

Thanks for all the effort so far!
