Client

Color Preferences
Other background colors the logo will be seen with are olive drab (army green), tan, gray, black, and earthen tones. Bright and lighter conservative colors like white, orange and red etc that contrast well with earth tones and dark background colors are desired.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I like the look of WWII bomber art, hot rod art, pin ups, army stars, old style american flag variations that are not too busy or gaudy. Old style military/patriotic themes is great. I am a veteran and want to appeal to other veterans. Some type of old style theme with a modern edge is the look I want.

I don't want the logo to be gaudy like a NASCAR or Tap Out T-shirt. Simple is good. The logo should not identify the business with the gun industry or use bullets, or bullet holes. The logo should not have a death or mayhem look to it and remain politically neutral.
Themes
Masculine
Simple

Logo Designer
Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ You, the Client, are very important! Your active participation is the single greatest factor influencing this contest. Active participation by you, the Client, helps you get the logo design you want!
~~ What's active participation? It's updating the brief with more information for Designers to work with as the contest progresses, providing feedback to Designers on their entries when they're submitted, and ranking designs at least once a day.
~~ When you provide feedback to Designers, you increase the chances of getting the logo you want. More feedback = better results!
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion.
~~ Rank designs at least once each day -- this will encourage Designers to submit more entries!
~~ Ranking prevents your contest from going idle! Active contests attract more Designers.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed. Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Please note: if you're asking for a design that will require several hours to create, to attract Designers willing to invest that amount of time the prize should be at least $400-$500. All "Character" style logos fall into this category.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested." We'd like to know what you don't want so we can give you the design you do want.
~~ The first phase of the contest is the "Open" phase, and everyone can submit during that time.
~~ After your contest's initial "Open" phase closes, it will enter the "Top 5" phase; only the top 5 ranked Designers will be able to submit revisions at that time.
~~ The "Top 5" Designers are the first 5 Designers in a contest, not the first 5 designs.
~~ When "Top 5" ends, the "Judging" phase begins. The Designer of the 1st place design will be the only Designer who can submit revisions at that time.

Thank you for the designs!

I like the direction these are going. I would like to see if the star can be combined with an eagle. The eagle looks kinda like a seagull though so far. I would like a little stronger appearing eagle.

I Iike the use of the American flag in (#1). I would be interested to see different ways of incorporating the stars and stripes into the design

The contrast provided by the addition of color is good.

Please feel free to explore the bomber art/retro theme.

I personally love to see guns in designs but in the US guns are a politically charged topic. Please try to keep actual guns, bullets, and bullet holes out of the design unless you feel you have a really great original idea and I will consider it. I want to try and avoid politcal undertones with the logo.

The appearance of military icons and logos are good because the general public is sympathetic with the soldier and I am located in an area very close to multiple large bases. I like the cleverness of some of the designs that fit multiple themes together like stripes, the star and eagle with a small splash of color to contrast the subdued earth tones.

Please keep the designs coming! I am liking what I am seeing but have not seen the perfect match so far.

I like the designs I am getting but I am far from decided on a given design yet. Please keep the designs coming and I welcome new ideas and new designers. This contest is still up for grabs.

The new designs are starting to lose the patriotic and military touch that the early designs had. Please keep the new ideas coming while retaining the feel of pride for the United States and the military. Designs with, stars, stripes, eagles, and icons of freedom presented in a clean, simple manner would be great. Thank you.

I just uploaded two more reference photos. One of a military machine gun that I would like to see incorporated into some design with the army star. I also uploaded a "screaming" eagle to use as reference. A lot of the eagles are lacking the appearance of power and strength. Please experiment with the screaming eagle idea so we can see if it works. Please keep the variations coming. Simple is good without being too simple or plain. I would like to see some creative and artistic combinations. The logo does not need to be round. Please feel free to experiment and post anything you have. Thanks!
