The Patriot Brass EnsembleLogo Design Contest

Thank you #1 We would like to make it look less like a government group and more like an independent grass roots group. We want our logo to look like we are a young vibrant group of patriotic musicians that care about veterans of all ages. We are a nonprofit with a mission to support veterans in hospitals. I would like to also see some kind of brass instruments incorporated, trumpets, horns, trombones tubas... maybe just one trumpet or bugle?

I like really like #3 the best so far! simple is good! We are looking at a bunch of different design ideas though. This logo is also going to be on our uniforms so please keep that in mind.

Would it be possible to add something a soldier would carry or use in the design? We go around to hospitals and support veterans of war with music. Be as creative as you like! But please remember we have to embroider this onto shirts and make patches so it can not be too complicated. Who knows you guys might think of something I did not think of!!!

Maybe try making the shadow or a simple outline of a bugler or trumpet player?

Another idea would be to turn the "I" in patriot to http://redriverpak.files.wordpress.com/2009/11/fallen_soldier_27122428_std.jpg the gun there... not sure how that would work. This also give you an idea I have about the shadow people, but then again you are expert, what do YOU think? Any ideas?

I think something that will help everyone is we are looking for more a coat of arms kind of thing then a logo. It is our mission to serve veterans of the United States Military with brass music, to raise morale and show them they are not forgotten.
