Our Ideas & Additional Information
I have used logo tournament in the past to create a logo for one of my other companies called Broken Box Inc. The inspiration for that logo was a rubik's cube that was floating apart. The end result was amazing. I will upload it as inspiration for this logo because this new company is sort of a sister company to Broken Box, Inc. One thing to note, with this new logo, I am looking for the exact colors represented in the Broken Box logo.
The idea for broken box was why think inside or outside the box, just break the box. Where as Open Crate's ideology is collectively brining ideas together in one open place.
The other inspiration that comes to mind for the Open Crate Logo is the Nintendo Game Cube. What I love about it is the fact that it incorporates the consoles initials in the actual logo. The G and the C. If we can achieve something like this for The Open Crate Collective using the initials O C C, I think I'll be very pleased. And if we can't get O C C, then just O C will do.
One other thing to consider is this; When I thought of the name for the company, I was initially thinking about DJ's back in the day and their vinyl (record) collection. When they would think of their setlist for the night they would literally have to go digging through their crates where they stored their records (ideas). They also had someone with them on the day of show who on the fly would dig through the crates looking for records when an inspiration would hit the DJ for a better fitting song to play next or if they themselves had an idea as well. That whole operation just embodied teamwork to me and thats what birthed the idea behind The Open Crate Collective. So I somehow want this thing to look like an actual crate. Not specifically a DJ crate, but just some form of crate thats open and ready to be dug through or added to. (This part might be asking a lot but I believe in this creative community)
